Score from 1042 reviews Very good
Excellent friendly staff. Convenient location.
should be free parking
internet access was patchy
great view of table mountain/docks from the room
Pillows, dated air con, dated shower and taps, fairly cramped rooms.
Location & Breakfast
Could not sleep with open window because it was very noisy outside
Location, near to harbor and city.
i didn't like nothing
Staff do not seem interested in serving customers; As a Two Oceans runner, no employee seemed to have known anything relevant to the race (including transport arrangements to the race etc); No relevant breakfast was arranged for the runners (only cereal/conflakes); The cutlery used at the restaurant was dirty most of the time; and The hotel inside (especially rooms and lifts) have not been upgraded in a very long time.
The location is ideal, that is, few meters from the water front.
We like to sleep with our windows open, we could't do this due to the noise coming from the courtyard, it was the air con plant?this forced us to sleep with windows close and ac running is noise as well not so loud as the one coming from outside.
The friendliness of staff and location. Didn't try spa but looked good. If I'd had more time would have tried.
Check in staff were inattentive and unfriendly. It took 2.5 hours to prepare my roof, and after a 12 hour flight that is a long uncomfortable wait. A lot of hotel is crammed into a small site so there is little open space to find a quiet spot.
Location. The V&A waterfront is just a short walk away and all the bars, restaurants, shopping are close enough to easily reach. The V&A also being the staging point for boat trips, whale watching, helicopter rides and so forth. The hotel is Spotlessly clean and in good repair. Rates are not particulalry cheap, but compared to those inside the V&A area are very reasonable, basically all you miss is the view.
Pestered by children begging on way back from waterfront before 9pm each evening, adult accompanying them watching from across street.
Expensive for what you get.... The decor is ageing a bit and parking is a problem.
Location close to V&A
There were only two things that I didn't like one was the stain I found on the mattress and two the tired looking bathroom but I understand the hotel is due for a refurb at the end of the year. I would definitely return .
The staff were particularly friendly and very helpful. Beautiful view of Table Mountain from the balcony and the breakfast in the courtyard was lovely
The personnel is very unfriendly, and for the price of the room and the standing of the hotel, having to pay the parking on top of the room, without even a reduced price is stealing !
good beds and good breakfast for sure.
Place has generally deteriorated(lack of maintenance) since our last stay +- 2 years ago
Location and breakfast
Only problem was the wifi ,it was a bit erratic.
Location, comfort, facilities,helpful staff,good value .
showers are poor only negative part
Excellent location, quiet, enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, and very well managed. Elegant lounge and nice garden area with swimming pool
The water running during the night in the bathroom.
Very good location, close to Waterfront ... and of course the staff!
Maid service bit haphazard e.g towels removed early and not replaced toilitaries not replace. Young boys and girls allowed to make big noise in the pool after 11pm.Shower not user friendly to elderly lack of handrails and slip mat
Great location next to Waterfront very nice public areas
Extremely helpful and friendly staff
EVERYONE WAS MOST HELPFUL ESPECIALLY WHEN I REQUIRED ASSISTANCE FOR TRAVEL TO THE AIRPORT
Excellent Hotel. The staff offer fabulous service and I rate this as 100% perfect! Well done to the Manager. This well managed hotel is absolutely superb. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately clean. The valet service is efficient and fast. The view over Table Mountain and the V&A are fabulous if you get on the right side of the hotel. The most perfect stay I have ever had at a hotel. Thank You !!!
