Score from 24 reviews Very good
two single beds joined together as a double
The value for money, the cleanliness, the provision of the soaps and shampoos etc.
That I could have accidentally bashed the shower door into the basin :(
Everything was great
A bit cold in the room, and an absolutely outrageous high price for laundry!
The heater in the room warmed the room for when we returned. Very central. Everything was clean.
Pool was green Parking is a problem I was parked in and had to maneuver myself out the next morning with the help of my husband. Very noisy if someone flushed toilet or showers you are able to hear it. And the telephone at reception also rang before 8am which was also disturbing.
Location and off street parking.
Very noisy as you can hear other guests coming and going inside the house. Rooms not of equal value. Our room was a lot bigger than our friends room and we paid the same price. No wifi or just not told there was wifi...
bed so comfy and spotless
maybe a tv in the room.
Location is great and we were incredibly warm and cosy
It would be nice to have a tv in the room
We only had one night here but wished it was more. The owner Danielle treated us like family and we sat out on the veranda and had a glass of wine before we even unpacked our bags! The room was spacious and the bed very comfy. Lovely roll top bath with huge bottle of bubble bath. Breakfast the next morning was huge with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, egg and bacon. We'll be back!
The electric wall heater, and the cap for the shower
impression with colorful interior decoration.
Loved the friendly hosts, the clean and neat quarters (just a little bit of mould on the bathroom roof) and beautiful well manicured gardens :)
The water from tap is yellow, and it is not clean at all and it is not for drinking the room is no tv.
Owner very friendly, and helped get us settled and located, from restaurants to the venue we needed to go to
We booked a room with a queensize bed, but were handed over the keys for a room with two single beds, because no other rooms were available anymore. The room so far was ok, tidy and clean - but it was not what we had booked. However, the host didn't really excuse for giving us the only available room but made up blind excuses and gave us the feeling, it was our mistake that we ended up in the "wrong" room. I didn't like this reaction and therefore would not recommend staying at the Corner House if similar rooms are available.
Very cosy and hospitable guest house. The owners greeted us at a late arrival. The room was very comfortable and clean. Good tips on dining. Delicious breakfast. Would have stayed longer if our schedule would have permitted that.
Pleasant and completely acceptable, but not exceptional. Short walk to main street and restaurants. From our perspective, the most notable aspect here was the sheets, bedspread and blankets on the bed. Most African B&Bs seem to have duvets which are too hot if you use them in the summer, but you are cold if you don’t.
Central location, pleasant garden, unlimited free wifi, cooked breakfast, and helpful owner.
No tv or fridge in room. Spacious accommodation but needs upgrading.
Location and helpful staff. Owner lovely
Nowhere to sit in room. No light at side of bed. No tv. Facilities a bit basic for price. Have stayed at guest house a couple streets away which had much better facilities
The owner, Danielle was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. A great personality , a quirky guest house with enormous character. It was fun!
Close to town on a residential quiet street.. Breakfast was nice
Tired place that needs some tidying up, a good clean, the pool cleaned, grass cut and dog poo removed. We had a power cut (which I understand is unfortunate) but not a word from the owner, no checking to see we were ok, no explanation or anything....was very odd! This place was ok, but not in a million years was it four star and I would suggest paying a bit more and getting a clean place that actually welcomes its guests rather than sees them as inconvenient house sharers which is how it felt.
The position was very convenient for the centre of the village. The breakfast was fine but not great , no selection of cereals and only one type of yoghurt.
The colourscheme in the bedrooms was far too bright and not conducive to sleep. Also no aircon in bedroom and ceiling fan was so old it clanked. Therefore we had to open window and got badly bitten by mosquitos.
