Room was comfortable. The staff were excellent. Lovely setting
Inadequate signage from the main road
Everything in the hotel is perfect, but the best of all is its setting: out of this world! It was not the first time we came to this place because you never get tired of the view of God's Eden! And we will be back again! Anna
The stunning views from this hotel and the peace and tranquility of its setting are absolutely outstanding. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was excellent.
Bedroom had a terrible creaking floor (adds character and ambiance perhaps to the rustic surroundings?) and the hook of the curtain was hanging off the rail,
Pizza :) Live music Scenery Staff Service
Dinner The food was average
Restaurant was good Location is beautiful
- You would do well to try any of the other local top end hotels where a room will cost you either less or you get a much higher quality of stay/experience for the price. Honestly it is way overpriced!! - The reception was mediocre and the room and feeling in the hotel was definitely 'tired' and in need of an upgrade/update. - I arrived and had a shower and the drain was not working, it flooded the whole floor. I told the management on my way to dinner and they said they would immediately take care of it. Two hours later I returned and nothing done. After further complaint they sent a housekeeper who dried everything up and when I asked about the morning and the drain when I shower next she shrugged her shoulders!! - None of the expected personal touches at this rate ie flowers/chocolate in room, anything special - my feeling was of a room booked last minute via booking.com and they were happy to take my money...!!
Beautiful Vineyards right there! Champagne tasting around the corner! Great biking/running area!
Excellent views, comfortable stay and friendly staff. Breakfast very good.
Food Rooms Fireplace in room Service
Wine Tasting at hotel had little variety.
3rd visit to Devon Valley and will continue to visit from time to time. We enjoyed our stay. Thank You.
Food good in restaurant
Rooms were very cold, and the hot water took ages to get hot. Showers badly designed. Management complacent
enjoyed our stay, beautiful location, friendly staff and lovely rooms
but did not enjoy the misadvertising regarding fireplaces in the bedrooms, and the dirty toilet and shower when we checked into our room.
We had an amazing time. The room was perfect, very comfy and of the best standard. The staff was great and we had an all round awesome time. Will definitely recommend to my friends.
The room service for cleaning rooms was a bit varied in time and sometime unexpected.
Location, is about all to recommend it
It took over 5 minutes to get hot water in the shower, and the rooms were cold. I won't stay there again.
The room was big and the bed comfortable - we had a vineyard view.
We were having dinner and before we started desert, the staff began clearing tables and setting up for breakfast. This was very off putting and we decided to have our dessert in the bar area.
totally an amazing experience.
great staff very helpful fantastic breakfasts
TV old fashioned - cathode ray tube Room a little smaller than expected
Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, friendly helpful staff.
Dinner was OK but v pricey, wine list excessively priced, bar lounge staff allowed noisy v young kids to invade the only adult private area on offer indoors. So not great as an eat in evening venue.
Good location, easy to find and within easy reach of some great wine tasting hot spots.
Wifi intermittent at best.
The karoo lamb rack at Flavours Restaurant was superb as well as the hazelnut parfait. The gas fire place in the vineyard luxury room was great for chilly autumn evenings.
While the sheets were of a superb quality we were disappointed that there was no top sheet. Otherwise, everything was great.
The location in the vineyards, overlooking the beautiful Stellenbosch Mountains. It is rural enough to be out of the hustle and bustle of town, yet close enough to get to town in a jiffy!
Delicious food Lovely patio with views
Indifferent Dining room staff Kettle and tap in room 22 did not work
Best breakfast we had in South Africa!
A bit of a tired feel, and rather a long way out of town. Confusion over billing
You just get a romantic feeling there.
Stunning view from veranda.
Lack of attention to detail! Stayed in junior suite, but facilities none better than average 3 star hotel.
Two items ordered for supper were out of stock.
