The Fairway Hotel & Spa    

We only stayed for one night, but I can asure you that everything we experienced from check-in upto departure was just perfect. Just a pity we did not get to play golf though, but our time was limited. We will definately return again!!!

Nice good food Worth staying for the sunday lunch

The staff were friendly and helpful, and accommodating to my dietary needs (I had externally-provided kosher meals). I also found the presence of European plugs, and wifi, in the rooms useful.

On my last evening and morning, when I could no longer use the wifi, the computer provided for guest access had been infected by a previous guest with a virus and was unusable. Staff ability to have done a clean reinstall of Windows fast, rather than waiting for someone to have come and fixed it, would have been useful.

All staff were very friendly, but the lady on reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Family room an excellent size and well equipped. Having direct access through a gate on our terrace to the pool was an added bonus.

Nothing not to like!

Stayed at this hotel for two days with my husband and baby. We arrived very early for check-in, and our room was not ready. We anticipated this, and just wanted to drop our bags off in the meantime. However, the staff decided to upgrade our room without us even asking! We went from a premier room to a luxury room with an early check-in to boot. This unexpected treat made our stay even more enjoyable, as we spent most of our time in the room. Breakfast had many options, and the dining room was beautiful. The staff were efficient and very child friendly. We did not have a chance to partake in the spa facilities as they were fully booked on the day we wanted to make use of it. We did take a tour of the place, and it looked luxurious

The only negative is that there was a problem with the TV in our room, it kept loosing signal, so the picture would blank on and off at regular five minute intervals. This made it difficult to watch a movie in the evening. When we contacted reception, they sent someone immediately up, but he was unable to fix the problem as he was not part of maintainence.

Beautifully designed and outfitted rooms with great coffee machine and terrific shower. Staff very pleasant.

The location is not ideal if you're not there to play gholf or visiting something specific in the area.

The food was good and the staff were always polite. We also had a good massage. I will stay again when I next visit JHB.

The coffee machine in the rooms were complicated and unappealing. I understand that they have recieved other complaints about them.

The accomodation and restuarant was good. However, gardens outside bedroom patio's bare due to leaks from roof - gutters, and furniture cushions placed incorrectly showing the Zip area - no one is checking this

The Spa staff looked in a hurry and although they are open until 6 it seems they wanted to finish off earlier. We had to beg to get another treatment in and yet 3 people were standing around from before 17h00. We asked to use the jaquzzi and was told we only have 10 minutes and then we waited 15 minutes after 17h00 for facial and pedicure. All water etc were removed long before 18h00, which will chase away customers - I will never book at this Spa again. The girls who did the treatments were excellent. For a 5 star Hotel it lacks customer service - Details of guests should have been given through to security at the gate, the guards looked disinterested and unaware. Porters should then get communication from the entrance and wait for the guests and offload luggage. We did not feel or see 5 star treatment.

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and relaxing. Best hotel room in this price category by far.

we arrived at our room, and we had previously stated on the booking this was our wedding anniversary. The room only had 1 towel, 1 bottle watwer, 1 glass, zero coffee or tea. Basically room was not ready for us
