The Fritz Hotel  

Good location for central Cape Town. Great value for money. Good breakfast considering price.

Hotel a little rundown, needs a little bit of refurbishment.

We liked everything about Fritz hotel. The location was excellent, staff was friendly and helpful. We are both vegans, and the staff made sure to provide soy milk in the morning for coffee and cereals.

Room and location. Staff friendly and breakfast nice and tasty.

The location was perfect; we could walk everywhere. The staff were very nice.

Our room was terrible, really a disgrace. It was not the room I thought I had booked several months ago.

An excellent value with an excellent staff to assist you and make your stay enjoyable. It is short walk to Long Street, the center of Cape Town activity. A Hop on/Hop off bus stop is close by in order to access all the attractions around Cape Town. It also has plenty of shopping and affordable restaurants close by. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will stay there again when in Cape Town.

This was my second stay at The Fritz. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the location is fabulous for walking all over.

Quirky, art-deco furniture in heritage building. Good location just around the corner from a top restaurant, Societe Bistro, with excellent table mountain views. Also, not too far from the hop-on, hop-off sight-seeing bus route. Excellent breakfast offering.

The "fair" rating for "Services/Facilities" is due to the hotel offering to arrange an airport transfer on our arrival, which I accepted. Driver name and number were confirmed, with instructions on where to locate at the Cape Town Airport on our arrival. The driver wasn't there when we arrived, we waited a while, then called only to be informed that he hadn't been told of the booking but would be there in 10 minutes. The driver shows up and is dismayed on realising we are a group of 4 people when he is only ever engaged for groups of 2 as he only has a small car. In the end we managed to all fit in with our luggage jammed into every available space. So bit of a double fail on the hotel's part with not passing on the transfer confirmation to the driver and providing details for a driver who can only take 2 people to a group of 4.

Great location. Very friendly staff. Very nice building with a lot of caracter.

We booked the budget room which was not comfortable, and when told the owner, he upgraded us for a much more expensive room for the same price! The staff is helpful , internet service is good , and there is a private parking which is a must in the city center. Location is perfect, walking distance from the center, but still quite. Very easy to reach to and from the main roads. Breakfast is very good.

Budget room is very noisy.

Relaxed,very friendly, more of a delightful guest house, price, breakfast, size of room.

Staff extremely helpful (even lent us a bus card), nice breakfast, building not modern but has character.

The curtians in our room did not look good at all

the people at this hotel was just wonderful, and indeed the best you could ever ask for. Charmaine in particular was just superb, and I can always recommend this hotel to any of my friends, family and business associates. This hotel is so family friendly, and very relaxed people. The room has everything anyone could wish for. Thank you for a wonderful stay at this hotel.

The staff was very helpful and worked with me to make reservations for tours to see the area in the two days I had there. The breakfast buffet was good and prepared me to meet the day. The hotel is in an excellent location to walk to museums and places of interest. There is good bus transportation nearby to get to other places. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, but I'm not all that fond of eating out by myself, so both nights I walked to a nearby grocery store (Spar) and got good food from their deli to eat in my room.

Very good location and good value for money. Staff very kind and parking in front of the hotel. Suggested for travellers who don't want spend too much money.

For budget rooms this is not a 3 star hotel. The bathroom was very old, with broken window. Poor breakfast.

It was everything that was promised. It was also quaint, well positioned for Cape Town and the staff were extremely helpful

My stay in Fritz Hotel was just great - the atmosphere, the staff, the room, all was perfect. I'm certainly going to stay there again if I happen to be in Cape Town.
