The Staff is awesome and the style of the hotel very nice
Large Room size Incredible breakfast spread Great hosts and very helpful with planning our day and suggesting places to see. really felt like we received individual attention.
Could not connect to the wifi but did not get a chance to follow up with anyone as to why.
Super friendly staff and great pool area!
Staff is exceptional, they make sure you feel great. Breakfast was great, too, with a vast choice of quality food. We loved the pool and the athmosphere at the pool deck, it felt like a mediterranean beach resort in the middle of a residential area. The Sea Point waterfront is just a a short walk and Clifton Bay or City Bowl just a short drive away.
Nothing really except maybe that we should have double checked that the bed in the Standard Room is really narrow for two (and the room rather small)
relaxing pool area friendly staff room ambiance and bath products spa bar area clean and comfortable bedding
average breakfast bad smell at hotel entrance
I have stayed here previously and again I can say nothing negative. Thebstaff is friendly and efficient, location is great and facilities are good. I will stay here again. Thank you to the Management and Staff for making my stay so pleasant
What was amazing was that each employee that worked there picked up/folded/responded etc if something it was out of place. Breakfast is a feast. The décor is meticulously done. The product range they stock (Rain) is absolutely amazing! Mark, Philip and Phil are a true face of what hosting should be.
Had to go and cancel my spa appointment after 40 min of informing the reception, 10min prior to my booking, that I'm set. I came in where there was a huge debate about who made the mistake with my booking. Breakfast = delayed gratification.
very friendly service from the watering and cleaning staff
As a gay couple we chose this hotel since it was advertised as a gay hotel- most gay people are people who do not stay in hotel and they occupy all the sunbeds so that the hotel guests cannot get any-unless you want to run down first thing in the morning to put your towel like in a cheap all inclusive hotel... hotel rooms are not sound proof- you here everything- loud pool parties make it very noisy. we had to put a towel in the door to make it close properly. bedside lamps were broken and fixed with celoape. I never complain about mony, but that kind of thin you woud not expect in a room for 300 euros a night. Very unhelpful and arrogant management/owners. Don't try and complain, because instead of helping you might get shouted at. money gets charged on the day of booking although it states free cancellation. all in all there many better places to stay in cape town be it gay friendly or not.
We stayed here on the last night of our holiday and it was wonderful, the staff are excellent and they really seem to know what their guests expect, our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, I cant praise this hotel and their staff highly enough. don't miss out.
That we couldn't stay a bit longer
Attentive service Great breakfast selection Good menus Clean rooms
Location is a fair walk to the beach, but once on-premises, it is very pleasant.
Staff and owners are fantastic, they bend over backwards. So friendly they make you feel totaly welcome
we felt like we were on honeymoon.. the service was that good.. i loved that everyone had a smile on their face.. all the staff members. thank you
breakfast was excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
I had a dark room next to the swimming pool.
staff was very friendly and customer oriented. my number one was Tatenda. They dont know the word "no". Concierge is very professional in guiding you. room is big and comfortable .
main choices for breakfast were not tasty. Also I didnt like the dinner that much. I paid for the room usd 178 per night for single stay for 4 nights + 3 nights. you pay the same for 1 day for 2 people. They refused my demand for a discount and but in my last day I met somebody who was staying there at the same period for usd 110 per night. when I showed them cockrage on the floor at the dinner. they killed the cockrage on my food with spray
The staff is extremely professional, kind and helpful. The location is super and the rooms are great.
What an amazing group of people working together to make you feel like part of their family. I have travelled the world and have never come across such a dedicated group managing such a gem of a place. I'll never stay anywhere else in Cape Town again!
The wifi is complimentary, however I stuggled with signal strenght in my room. I am sure if I reported it the team would have tried to rectify it however I didn't feel the need to report it.
We are South African and have stayed in The Glen about 16 times to date throughout the years and I suppose it is the very friendly staff that entice us back especially Phillip. Along with that are the comfortable rooms. We tend to prefer the old house as it has more character but the new suites are just as good albeit more modern. Breakfast is also all you could ask for and serves as a good start to the day.
The staff, location and facilities are amazing.
To sleep in a room without open windows and no view.
Rooms are nice, excellent washing products, room service is good value and quality, staff and general friendliness
I can't say enough about my stay here and the wonderful staff and owner, Mark. The attention to detail, service, amenities and energy of this hotel beat out many 5 star hotels I have stayed at around the world. No one is above helping guests with any requests and they were all great...not one bad egg. The food is also very nice and they serve 3 meals a day.
They think of every detail and anticipate your needs. Food is great, and they create an incredible relaxing environment for their guests. I rarely heard the word no to any question or request by guests. The staff is so well directed and I highly recommend the Glen
Fantastic hotel!! Staff are so friendly and helpful - they go out of their way to assist you and ensure you have a great stay! Location good, lovely facilities, nice breakfast and free wi fi!!
The owner--who sets the tone--and the staff of The Glen Boutique Hotel could not be nicer or more genuine. The atmosphere is not only courteous but friendly and playful. The location of the hotel is superb, being in a quiet street only two minutes' walk from the sea front and five minutes' walk from the excellent 'Hop-on/Hop-off' tour buses, which are of great use. The breakfasts (included) are out of this world! The pools! The spa! What's not to like??
Nothing. This is a great place.
