Everything. Had a great 5 night stay. Wonderful place, quiet, beautiful, great staff, wonderful personal service.
Such beautiful surroundings, all the common areas, dining room, patio, pools, so lovely! Best thing were the staff - so friendly and accommodating. We felt like coming home every night.
Very friendly yet professional staff and great concierge!
Was upgraded due to being moved on first night and given first night free due to inconvenience Rooms are spacious, bathroom huge and great, bed super comfortable, lovely sun deck, pool area lovely.
My first night was spent at another hotel due to an issue with my room
I cannot find enough words to describe how awesome the Glen Boutique Hotel is. All the staff were very friendly and introduced themselves - they could help with anything. The facilities are superb from the pools, bar, restaurant, rooms etc. The rooms had iMacs which allowed us to search the internet for things to do and see in Cape Town and the WiFi worked consistently. The food was well presented and the bar always open. The staff are very attentive and go out there way to make it feel very luxurious.
Car park was a bit tight
The staff went over the top to assist us in every aspect of our stay - can't speak highly enough of them. The hotel itself was comfortable and clean. Good secure parking.
There was nothing not to like
The Glen Hotel was fantastic - great service from the minute we arrived. Phillip the concierge went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect. Definitely the best boutique hotel that we've ever stayed at. Thanks again, we'll be sure to stay again next time we visit Cape Town.
Nothing, all was great.
This hotel takes such good care of its guests. There not a single grumpy employee, everyone is so helpful 24/7. It's very attractive and comfortable and clean. Loved it!
Facilities and resturant
The friendly and very accommodating staff especially Phillip & Abigail they were amazing. The attention to detail of lighting the candle in the bathroom and the quality of soap, I absolutely love the RAIN collection
The bathroom quality of facilities weren't great. The position of our room wasn't great either as we heard all the guests leave early in the morning and arrive late at night. The Sole Revival Massage from the spa was very poor.
All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made us feel at home. Accommodation was comfortable and clean. Hotel was centrally situated. Lovely breakfast and homely atmosphere.
Staff were all friendly and helpful. From the moment of arrival it felt relaxing. The hotel and grounds are well kept and attractive. Definitely a place I would return to and recommend to others.
Room was extremely comfortable staff were very polite and helpful, the PR from the manager was outstanding nothing was too much trouble
Not hotels fault but there were a lot of constructions going on around the hotel which was quite noisy first thing in the morning (07:00)
Friendliness of the staff
Filter coffee in the morning was too weak; Wi-fi was too slow
The hotel was in a great location, within a couple of blocks of the ocean promenade, and an easy taxi ride to the V&A waterfront. A hop on-hop off bus stop is also nearby. The staff was so helpful, especially Frederick and Phillip. And Arnold -- the best bartender ever! If you get a chance, spend some time at the back bar and ask Arnold to make you an Absolut Mandrin Cosmopolitan. I can't say enough good things about the chef and the restaurant. Try the hamburger from the dinner menu. Wow! The accommodations were very nice and spacious, with a bonus balcony. If I ever return to Cape Town, the Glen will be my destination.
The only negative I can think of were the bath towels, which seemed to be a little stiff. Maybe the clothes dryer was not working.
Great location, attentive and friendly staff, felt right at home!
The food was brilliant, the staff were fantastic, very helpful and going an extra mile to make my stay more enjoyable. Philip, the conceige Manager-you are the best and can not thank you enough for all your support. The hotel is clean and spotless-will definitely book it again.
The staff at Glen Boutique gave my boyfriend and I the warmest welcome, followed by seating us at the fireplace while signing in. The rooms have all those small things that make your stay extra special and comfortable! Charming and lovely energy.
the two swimming pools are just creating a dramatic ambience
the weather a litte too wet some technicalities, aircon settings, mini-bar fridge,
This is an amazing find of a hotel. The service was fantastic! The manager/concierge gives every guest his personal attention---designing itineraries for sightseeing, making restaurant recommendations and reservations. booking tickets on-line, you name it! It was the kind of service I would imagine guests receive at those more expensive hotels that we can't afford! Really great location, great value for the money, wonderful all around. Highly recommended.
More option for breakfast, we got bored after the second day
Cosy atmosphere, nice staff!
The dinner menu was not up to the rest of the hotel standard.
Room service took long and breakfast arrived without cutlery
Parking Narrow one - way street
I recommend the Glen to anyone looking for a location that combines the luxury of a four-star hotel and the personal touch of a BnB. The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were superb. Better than we were expecting.
My only disappointment was one that several people seem to have experienced - the water temperature. In both the showers and jacuzzi, the water temp was an issue, reaching only luke warmth in the jacuzzi and becoming practically ice cold 5 minutes into a shower. I'm assuming this is due to the water being heated by solar power, but it's still not something I'd expect at a top-class facility. That said, please don't let that single issue dissuade you from visiting this gem.
