Location - view - some staff at the dining hall are excellant. Asked for a double bed - got 2 single beds pushed together. In this day and age of cellular phones - a two prong plug point in the room should be standard. That the staff could not find one to loan for an hour is just poor. TV not working, picture kept dissappearing. Aircon fan very noisy as it was scrapping against the side of the unit. Dining room needs a clean, the window sills have dust build up that must be there for a year now. Pool water was green and the pool needed a clean. This should be Port Alfred's pride hotel and can be - should be.

Wonderful position but it needs to be utilised better. There is a need of maintenance to the pool deck before someone gets injured. I think the pool area could be made a little more weather friendly. to sit outside and have that view in the wind and rain would be a huge boost to the bar area.

The setting, the comfort and space in the suite, and the close proximity of all amenities. We enjoyed not having to leave the premises to have meals due to the restaurant being in-house. The seafood evening meal left much to be desired, especially at r145.00 Per head. Salads with tiny pieces of fish. Prawns and calamari were few and when finished the buffet table was not replenished. More like a finger supper. After a r420.00 Meal for two we had to go for seconds at the Spur, luckily very close by. Spa should open Sundays as this is when most people have the time. We only arrived at 16:30 on Saturday and would have loved the spa early Sunday morning.

Position in town Excessive noise levels from adjoining & nearby rooms, necessitating several requests for these people to be quiet. Price we paid was not value for money. Breakfast was not up to standard for this price hotel.

The 1st room had no aircon (7), we where moved to room 39, the TV was not working, we where again moved to another room (33). The air con worked but was difficult due to printing on remote. The pillows had to be changed. The patio doors were unable to be unlocked, had to push open, lock stuck. The parking lot was full of pot holes. They did not have my reservation, it was on some "other" computer. All in all was unpleasant. Will NOT stay there again.

Lovely position. Friendly and helpful reception. I think the rooms need to be spruced up a bit. They need new bed linen, pillows and quality duvets. The mattresses are getting old as well. The pressure in the showers should be increased and the bathrooms upgraded. These changes would make all the difference. I think that the staff in the dining room need more training, as they look bored and slovenly.
