The location was good as it was fairly close to the stadium where the irb Sevens Tournament was held. 1. On arrival (08/12/11) the tv and the safe were not working. This was sorted out but wasted a great deal of our time. We needed to use the safe and the wait to have it repaired resulted in us missing an appoinment. 2. Simple comforts that one expects in a room like a hairdryer, shower cap, soap and shampoo were not available. They were however supplied on request. 3. On our first morning the was no hot water in the room. I did not enjoy the cold shower! 4. Housekeeping persistently neglected to replenish supplies. Supplied on request. 5. The linen was not refreshed for the duration of our stay. 6. The room was small with a pokey bathroom. My wife and I travel extensively both locally and abroad and the Kelway is without doubt the worst 4 star hotel we have experienced. You may provide my details when feeding back to the Kelway Hotel.

The reception 2 ladies was very helpfull The water pressure of the shower is very poor. The bathroom towels is very small to dry yourself with. The mattress of a twin is continious sliding on the wooden bed. Because the place is build of wooden cabin to implement a centralised aircon system as the building was extremely hot.

We choose the Kelway over the other hotels available on Booking.com for our stop-over in PE. We had no expectations, but in our opinion we could not have made a better choice. It offers great views of the harbour and seaside and it is not too close to the activity on the beach.

This hotel was advertised as a 4-star hotel, but to be quite honest it was more like a 3-star hotel. In the bar area, there were cobwebs and dirt by the coffee table where underneath cups, etc were stored. We booked a double room with a sea view but the room given to us was very cramped and our view was blocked by the hotel's green roof. Would recommend this only if special deal offered R600.00/night. Not worth the price given on the hotel's website.

Nice cosy, small hotel, staff friendly and tried to be helpful, and were to some extent. 1. On arrival was told that I had no booking, this despite a confirmed booking in my hand. 2. Room key didn't work for a day: apparently battery of door lock was run down. Three attempts to fix it failed and I had no private access to my own room. 3. Slight smell of sewage in an otherwise excellent bathroom. 4. There should be a 'person-with-small-appetites' breakfast option for half the price.

Location and price Very noisy wedding reception right under our room, and in addition, vendors came to collect their equipment before 07h00 on Sat morning and were shouting and making a huge amount of noise, which woke up my husband and myself.

I hesitated to use the hotel based on previous experience some years ago. It has had a history of inconsistency, especially the restaurant. However it was a pleasant surprise and overall a very satisfactory experience. As such at the room rate it represented very good value. The hot breakfast was a little cold.and didn't match the freshly cooked egg. The light on the airconditioning blinked throughout and was a little irritating in a dark room. I could not turn it off with the remote

Very good value for money Reception-staff should be more "professional", should not be some-one who sees her/his duties as just another admin function. Should endeavor to make guests feel welcome.

The location Mildew on tiles in shower. Duvet lumpy. No bedside lamp. Carpets need cleaning, starting at the stairs. Is this what 4* is in SA?

Restaurant was excellent. Meals were excellent, both dinner and breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful in general. I will definitely come back. The beds were a definite disappointment. They are effectively bunk beds. The lack of underground parking for a 4 star hotel was also disappointing.
