Score from 123 reviews Very good
I loved the hospitality treats on arrival, the mini dessert on the bed that accompanied the turn down service. Also the general ambience and personalised service. The room was nice and spacious and I loved the decor.
The sun coming in to the room before I was ready to get up. Black out blinds would be a great idea.
Very comfortable. Lovely spacious rooms, attention to detail excellent.
Extra touches, and attention to your comfort.
Parking very tight
Staff and the interior
1. Poor signage 2. Parking Cramp & difficult 3. No garden and clear views 4. Electrical yard next door. Suggestion: Please buy them out to create more living space and better parking
Friendly staff, great location, beautiful room! Amazing special touches with great ambience.
The breakfast buffet muffins were dry
Staff was welcoming, warm and friendly, breakfast was really good, room was clean, spacious and modern. Stylishly decorated.
The swimming pool was filled with bugs - but this was the only negative point we can think of.
The staff were friendly and eager to help. The room facilities were excellent. Close to all restaurants. All the little touches that added to the overall experience. Eg. The lovely Milktart on arrival and creme brûlée left in our room at night.
very good rooms evening staff helpful and friendly breakfast
morning manager wanted to close the hotel throw us onto the street; very unhelpful attitude, we wanted to leave cases etc secure in the hotel and he suggested we pack it into the car and leave; I have never been treated like tis in years of travelling on the other hand the evening manager was very nice and helpful when we arrived
The staff was friendly and gave good advise. The size of the room was huge. It was clean and very well maintained. The location was excellent. With a two minute walk you were in the village. The surrounding mountains were so picturesque.
Everything about this hotel was first class. The welcome from Conrad (the manager) and his team was particularly warm and friendly - they made us feel like part of the family and they seemed genuinely glad to have us visit. Conrad's advice about places to eat and vineyards to visit was 'spot on'. The room was spacious, had high quality furnishings and was complete with in floor heating. A most comfortable room. Breakfasts offered excellent food with plenty of choice. The 'little treats' left in the room in the evenings were fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
all was superb and the manager couldnt have been more helpful.very convenient location. would really recommend it
We loved the decor/ colourscheme throughout establishment.Lovely tranquil setting- total contrast to the dark settings of most hotels. Friendly and efficient staff.Hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, etc.
Everything! Pure luxury in every way. The little touches make a big difference. The manager, Conrad, was a most gracious and accommodating host. We'll be back.
The staff at The Last Word were warm & welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel right at home. Excellent service!
Great attention to detail down to adapter plugs in bedroom etc. Exceeds expectations by far. Great location too
It's a five minute walk up to all the restaurants and from where the wine tram departs, perfect. It is really small but with Real quality and attention to detail. The public areas and our room were beautiful. Small touches like a decanter of sherry in the room, plus exquisite puddings left in the room at turn-down really give the place an opulent feel. Guest care is great too; they'll book restaurant tables for you, recommend/explain the styles of cuisine etc etc.
Nothing springs to mind that would prevent us returning. If you are on a tight timescale in the morning allow enough time for breakfast; as well as the buffet of extras, the hot stuff is cooked from fresh and isn't fast food.
personal touch! It was my favorite guest house on the trip.
Conrad was excellent, so helpful and friendly. full of information about things to do and where to eat. Location is perfect and very secure parking. Would love to return, so relaxing
The professional friendly staff and the very homely feeling whilst there very stylish but not imposing , first class !
Slightly small tv for the size of the room but didn't spoil our stay at all
Comfortable, great faclities
