Reception was excellent, stay was pleasant. View was beautiful.
The WiFi did not work and if it did it the connection was dropped before anything could be done. Constant chatter of staff standing around idley during breakfast was a damper.
The location of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff
Room was next door to lift and was being used by painters early in the morning to take equipment up to rooms for decorating
Very helpfull staff and excellent breakfast
Staff was great. Very helpful Really liked the business center
Wifi not so great. food mediocre.
Staff at reception was friendly and the breakfast was very good...
House-keeping is really bad, beds are not comfortable, sheets do not get changed, after using a towel they take it and hang it and expect us to use it again...
The location Friendliness of the night staff.
The curtains. They were inadequate. Parkng expensive Loud waiters in the breakfast room. They were talking loudly, didn't pay attention to guests and were showing each other pics on their cell phones. Guest pay to be attended to. Attention would have been good, Got my tea after I had finished my meal.
I love the location of the hotel. Centrally located in the city and easy access to tourist activities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a great charm about it.
I travelled with my own car and the paid parking is too expensive and the parking attendant was rude and non courteous. Ended up parking on the street.
We booked an executive room, when we arrived after 3h, they were still waiting for linen. We changed to another room. Though the linen was clean, it was old, with even one pillow covered in a towelling case. Our extra towels never arrived. We were charged R3300, and when we complained about the price, we were told that being South African we should have phoned beforehand and would have received a discount. The next day the advertized price was R1030. As it was the 31st of Dec, it is acceptable to have an higher price, but 3x? Defnitely not for that room or hotel.
Breakfast was excellent.
When entering the Square where we were parked in front of the hotel we felt unsafe because of bag elements. The area was also very dirty.
centrally situated. excellent breakfast.
Nothing besides the location
This place def needs an upgrade from air on system to the smell in the room really to be paying that much money for that room, what u see on the website is def not what we opted for not coming back not even reccomending it highly disappointed did not even for breakfast loss appetite
Non-existent parking for guests of the hotel. The parking fee of R70 per night to the private parking company is ridiculous, especially seeing as there was no security and the gate boom was left open all night. The only disappointing part of our stay was the parking.
The hotel is well situated for my needs... Rooms are comfortable.
There were no hair dryer in the room. TV is very small an channels are limited...
Bathroom very nicely done - and with proper shower head that worked! Besides two single beds instead of one double/queen size bed, a very comfortable sleep.
A bit disappointing that a loud noise came from the aircon. We discovered this was from some duct tape inside the fan mechanism which was probably used as a cheap fixture of the system after inspecting it ourselves. Secondly the television did not have any ports for a USB drive and therefore no possibility to play our own music or movies through the television - and no DVD player or other option was made available by the hotel staff. Overall I guess for low budget, not a bad rating.
