Location, very comfortable
The view of Table Mountain and Signal Hill is breath-taking. Our room was large and more like a 2-bedroom executive apartment. Parking was convenient and secure. The Cape Quarter boutique mall across the street has some excellent restaurants and shops.
The actual street address is behind a gas station and across from 2-3 clubs/nightlife hotspots, so these can be noisy well into the AM. Also the area has a few pan-handlers/beggars walking around which makes it feel a little sketchy. The 2nd bathroom in the hotel only had a bath with a short hand-shower. As a group of 4 friends, the 2 rooms were great but more suited to a family as we wanted 2 full bathrooms.
Very good location with easy access to restaurants and city centre. The staff is super efficient and friendly.
Some aspects of the room seem a bit on the dated side and the shower-in-bath was actually only a bath with hand held shower head that didn't work as a shower at all. WiFi seemed to big a problem to access.
The location and design of the place. We stayed top floor which had a good view over Signal Hill.
The cleanliness (specifically carpets and curtains) was dubious, and the shower that spilled badly out of the cubicle.
showers were too low if you are tall
Everything, especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff
The location was prime
There was constant construction. Drilling at 22:30 and continuous knocking from as early as 7am. No one informed me that they were going to be such noise. I found 4 cockroaches in my room amd bathroom (Have pictures of them). The tiles were dirty and even after asking for soap we received an empty one and no refills.
We loved the location and the variety of restaurants nearby. We especially liked that we were there during their carnival that we could watch from our balcony.
The carpet was dirty, and the tiles in the shower were rotting. We did not like that caps charged us a lot extra when the hotel called them for us. It was easier and faster to get our own. We also did not like that we had to pay to check out after 11:00a. It cost us about $30 ($15 per hour) extra to stay until 1:00p
restuarants and service
Big and spacious rooms. Beautiful view. Nice and neat. Good value meals.
Noise from disco and garage below never ended. No shower in main bathroom.
appliances and furniture, location, space, balcony, comfortable beds, bath
Location, friendliness of staff, spacious rooms, kitchenette, big balcony
separate sleeping room with window to Hotel corridor
Comfortable, good-size rooms, great view, excellent location
Hotel was nice and centrally located. Staff friendly and helpful.
That I had to shower in my bath is not nice. I'm sure by now the hotel should know that it is not in fashion or appealing to guests. I only had breakfast once as it really was not nice. (A lot of things was just not nice) The freezer/fridge in the kitchen froze over and caused water leakage on the floor. Housekeeping was there 3x and never did anything about it. DSTV was not working, they fixed it by installing a new decoder but this also did not work.
1. Location - proximity to major attractions 2. Spacious rooms 3. Speedy response from staff - reception, maintenance and housekeeping.
Wi-fi. Difficult to get through and slow. One hour free per day. I'm used to unlimited access during my stay.
Hotel is central to most amenities and very convinient for both business and leisure
The harassment by the front desk staff on check out day. One call every 30min is more than enough to remind tenants of departure times. not constantly (every 10min).
The unit was very comfortable for a family of 4 and the location is great. I had read complaints about noise and yes there is noise but no more than what you would expect for accommodation in a busy city.
The kitchen could be a bit better stocked, we only had 3 forks and a cheese grater would be great.
Enjoyed the upgrade in appartments due to faulty plumbing issues in the first one. Loved the central location and the clean contemporary design of the interior. A smart and ideal place.
Nothing to dislike really. Kitchen could have been better equipped perhaps - would have been difficult to prepare a reasonable meal but then in Capetown you eat out in any case.
Staff, location and views were all excellent.
Night time noice, the awful damp smell in the rooms and free wi-Fi were all big negatives. Considering the cost, I think that this property definitely offers value for money, HOWEVER the SMELL of damp was awful. We were four couple in two two bedroom suites and I have to say neither was suitable for two couples. Luckily we spent very little time in the hotel so it did not merit a move.
Location was great. Proximity to restaurants and the V&A Waterfront was terrific. Apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. Pool was excellent.
Comfort of the room. Excellent location.
Room service, they remove the towels from the bedroom and forgot to replace them! They also forgot to replace shower gel for 3 days!
Good location, spacious and nice 2 bedroom apartment which included 2 ensuite baths (great for 2 couples traveling together). Beautiful views from the balcony. Breakfast was very good.
We traveled with another couple and didn't realize the 2nd bedroom was a loft which didn't provide for much privacy.
Magnificent views of Table Mountain But traffic noise is a small price you have to pay for it
Wifi is slow and drops all the time better off not paying for it in your Room as it is useless
The views from the balcony were great with table mountain in the background. Apartment was roomy and comfortable with good shower.
My husband said his side of the bed had a tilt which he found very uncomfortable
Shower facility Internet is too slow
