The Saffron House from Ian & Jenny offers guests a warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere in a location close to the beach.

All bedrooms have cool percale linens, air-conditioning and have individual satellite TV, coffee maker, beach towels and sun umbrella. Each room has a private entrance leading out onto the lush tropical grounds with an inviting, sparkling pool.

Set on the beautiful, tropical Dolphin Coast, the hotel offers guests service and care that is thorough and detail-oriented. The hotel has Wi-Fi internet access and secure off-road parking.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast out on the deck before heading out for a swim. Guests have a choice of swimming at the beach 440 yards away or in the hotel's large pool. Later on, relax by the well-stocked bar.

Ideally located for exploring the attractions of the beautiful Dolphin Coast, the hotel is also just 35 minutes from Durban's central business district. King Shaka International Airport is less than 20 minutes away by car.

The North Coast offers visitors a unique blend of ultra- modern facilities at sun-drenched seaside resorts, and ancient traditions in a lush, subtropical environment. The shoreline is an enticing combination of golden beaches and rock pools for safe swimming, surfing, skin and scuba diving, rock and ski-boat fishing, or just relaxing.

Willard Beach, the main swimming beach in Ballito, is a blue flag beach. A 1.5 miles boardwalk follows the shoreline southwards, providing an opportunity for an easy walk with spectacular views of bays and coves.

A more rugged trail extends northwards from Willard to Shaka's Rock, which takes you through a hole in a cliff; best attempted at low tide.
