I did not appreciate the outside appearance nor the entrance or the condition of the reception area. From this point on it was clear that this a budget hotel. Also the surroundings this not give me any warm feeling wrt car parking. The staff was friendly though

The breakfast was good. The bathroom needs to be upgraded. The lift in the morning was a long wait we had to walk down 9 floors with our luggage ,because it never came up to our floor as it was been used as a service lift to bring wharever up to the first floor

struggling to think of anything bathroom was dirty, the shower curtains had not been cleaned. floor was dirty and the bath was hideous. There was not even a remote control for the tv. I would not stay at the hotel again. Especially when it costs R600 a night you expect a better service

The location There was no parking; and nothing was said about this before hand; so that arrangements could have been made for this. The aircons are old and rusty. Some area's needed new paint. The bookings only came through when we arrived. The locks only had keys; and anyone can make copies of the keys; and rob clients. Sattelite tv... They only had mnet. No other options than the free sabc channels and e tv

The hotel was centrally located and the staff quite friendly and helpful The hotel is tired and need updating. There are rooms with broken tiles in bathrooms, light switches that don't work, hair dryers that don't work and air conditioning units with their covers falling off. We booked into this hotel only because Gap used it as the start of their trip.

Fantastic staff and walking distance from cticc. Pretty run down and poor water pressure in the shower. Many other places around at better quality for similar price.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good beer deals at the bar. Central location The shower though worked fine , leaked all over the floor, which became slippery. THe fact that staff had removed and not replaced the shower certain did not help the situation

Friendly and helpful staff. 20 min walk to waterfront and shopping/restaurants/bars. 5-15 mins to arcades, city shopping, museums and gardens. Intimate and friendly bar. Red hop on hop off bus stops nearby. One internet computer available for use. Facilities ok but a little tired. Lifts slow. Be aware of which nearby streets are safe to go down at night. (Staff helpful here). Safe in room did not work but a downstairs safe was available- had no concerns with integrity of staff.

What did i like??? nothing!!! ...well...maybe the size of the room.....only Not recommended at all. Waited 45 minutes to find out that i cant check in to the hotel. Housekeeping laisy, didn't have towells in bathroom and didn't get them even after asking. They just said: "we don't have them - we will give you tomorrow..." They should expect that after 10h flight you want to take shower... The lift is from XIX century. Stayed on 7th floor and waited 10 min every time to get to the lift... Most of the time was just forced to use stairs... I was not expecting anything special but at least clean bathrom shall be the minimum standard. The bath was just dirty. Good maybe for backpackers... but def not for this price. There are much nicer hotels in Cape Town for the same price. We moved after 2 days to Camps Bay which was awesome!

Very central location in the Cape Town city bowl, near to good restaurants and shops. No onsite parking, very poor standard of room, unclean, limited service, breakfast not great. It was cheap but a bed and breakfast for the same price would have been a better option and quality of accomodation. This is really a budget/back packer standard of hotel.

Excellent front desk service, room was clean and very comfortable. Overall, a great value! The internet cut out often, and we had to take the stairs down from our room as the elevator was having trouble for most of our stay as well.

The staff is very friendly; the rooms look just like in the pics; large and comfortable. Good bathroom. It's a convenient location, short taxi ride from the airport shuttle station; close to Long Stree and all the Centre of Cape Town. Very near the gay village (for who is into that). Walk to Waterfront in about 30 minutes. So great location for shopping, dining, night-life; and as in all Cape Town very easy to get a mini-bus to the beaches or train station. I stayed there on 2 occasions: my first and last 2 nights. So, have a mostly positive opinion about the place. There is no free wi-fi (although for R40 you get 100MB, which goes a long way). The first morning the cleaner just tried to enter the room while I slept and they dont have "do not disturb" signs, so I had to make one myself for the further mornings. (that said, I am very positively impressed that after I left in the afternoon they came in and made up the room) . The 1st room didnt have the aircondition functioning (but i didnt complain). The 2nd room didnt have the power point in the bathroom working (but I also didnt complain).

The staff is completely inept. Couldn't find a remote control for my TV. Couldn't find an electrical adapter so I could charge my computer. Would move the empty shampoo bottles and leave them in the bathroom, but not furnish replacements unless you cornered the staff and made a request. The desk clerk knew nothing about Cape Town. Had to ask fellow guests. Bedding did not fit the bed and became balled up under your body during the night. Elevator was a mess. Would take me to the 9th floor and became stuck on a regular basis. Could not open door.

Liked the fact that it is centrally located in Cape Town, within walking distance to the city centre and shopping mall down the road. Not too far from Waterfront. Reception staff very helful with cabs and general information. It would be great if the hotel had a room service for snacks like sandwiches, tea, coffee up to a certain time at night.. More tea bags and coffee in the room which were available on arrival only.None after that.

Its a budget hotel There are no parking facilities inside the hotel, anyone who stays in the hotel needs to search for parking place nearby. Also to park outside the hotel premises is not safe.

“Being someone with interior designing interested, i found the decor exquisite and trendy. Could not believe that in this day and age you could get such good service. 100% praise for Sam at reception... she made me and my family feel like we were old friends - For the price I paid, I have already recommended the hotel to friends and family - The location (Long Street) is great since I like a good jol now and again. Great time all round” Yolanda, Johannesburg |
