We had the familyroom which was actually two rooms behind one door. Very suitable for our family with teenaged kids. Rooms were nicely decorated. Host was very kind. Good breakfast. Close to the waterfront (5 min. by car)
There is no lounge, therefore you have to stay at your room.
Very clean rooms which are exotically decorated and very comfortable. Great hospitality, we really felt welcome. Waterfront is on walking distance (20 minutes). Complete breakfast in a cosy style. Private parking in front of the Vagabond.
Fabulous and exotic, perhaps the best boutique guest house we have ever stayed in and certainly the most memorable. Everything was incredibly fabulous! Each of the 5 rooms are uniquely decorated in different themes--we stayed in the Morocco/Africa room--and I loved the beautiful ethnic objects d'art placed there. None of them are for sale, but I could have bought them all for my own house in the United States. In fact, the entire guest house was filled with collections from their travels and serves almost as an ethnographic museum. The beds were very comfortable and we had great sleeps. The bath was recently redecorated with modern and upgraded facilities; towels with toiletries were tied in a ribbon. Graziella, the owner, is a lovely Italian woman who speaks English (and Italian) and was enchanting to talk to. Breakfasts (included) consisted of fresh fruit (with a sprig of mint) and yogurt, cereal, and the most scrumptious home-made croissants (by Graziella--I didn't know that people still do this.) The neighborhood was quiet and within a wonderful 20-minute walk to the Waterfront. This was our first visit to Cape Town and we plan to return next Spring and will definitely book our stay with The Vagabond Guest House.
very friendly an nice staff, location in walking distance to a couple of restaurants (3 min) and waterfront (20 min), good breakfast selection, nice rooms in a quiet area
Nicely decorated, exotic and colourful. Friendly atmosphere at breakfast. Well located by the coast - felt nice and safe without being in an area of any obvious high security presence. Very clean spacious bedroom and bathroom. I would definitely return.
Nothing to dislike, but worth noting that it is very much room only and outside of breakfast there is no real access to anything other than your room. I couldn't get the wifi to work, but I didn't pursue it as it wasn't a problem for me
Nothing bad to say. Graziella is a wonderful person and made our staying great. Thanks Graziella :-)
we were made to feel very welcome. the room was lovely.
Tv did not work
the friendly hostess.The eastern ambience.
lack of variety in breakfast
Spotless clean room, comfy bed, beautiful decorated, and Graziella (the owner) is very friendly. Good , real Italian, coffee!
Despite I already had 3 weeks eggs for breakfast, I missed the eggs at the Vagabond's breakfast.
The friendly host and clean rooms and the tranquillity combined with the location. It is a great place to stay and will go back.
The Vagabond is a charming BB that has been very well maintained. The location is excellent we walked to the V&A Waterfront from there which was a pretty route along the coast (however if you cut across past stadium shorter route). Also the host recommended us local restaurants where the food was delicious.
Very convenient. Nice breakfast. Worth a visit.
Excellent location Accommodation suited our family size perfectly Very comfortable beds Clean and everything we needed
Fantastic, friendly service in a convenient location. Comfortable rooms and facilities.
tasteful decoration, good breakfast, warm reception by owner
Good location, near to Restaurants, Sea Point and not far from Waterfront. Aymo Graziela seems to be an excellent Host, who keeps her property clean and comfortable. I have already recommended this Guest House to some friends who want to stay 3 to 5 nights. I had a chance to meet her Soon who came to visit her mother. excellent person. Thank You
Good location in walking distance to the green point promenade and Waterfront. Locatian on the small street which allows for avoiding traffic noise. Stylish decoration of rooms. Nice healthty breakfast however it was the same every day. Helpful owner. Parking in front of the house but the space was quite small.
Internet not impressive. Room quite small and with limited space for storage. Noisy fan in the bathroom
Everything aboout this establishment wasexcellent
Breakfast menu should change everyday for guests staying longer periods
A very nice place. Clean. Charming. With a good service. The lady is so lovely and professional. Simply perfect. I Will return
We had an excellent stay. Graziella was very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended
My stay at The Vagabond was surprisingly good. I stayed there three days in August and it was great. As soon as I walked in, it felt cozy, like home. I really liked the giant Buddha near the entrance – it was a kick. I stayed in the Arabian suite, and I did feel all night like I was in the Middle East – kind of hard to explain. It is winter there in August, so the heated blanket was a welcomed surprise. The hostess, Graziella, an Italian lady, was accommodating and very sweet. - she even made restaurant reservations for me a couple of times. Breakfast was great (I am sure Graziella had just prepared the fruit salad before we sat down), with hot croissants and coffee. My breakfast companions were some interesting folks from Nigeria and America.
Warm friendly atmosphere, great location for waterfront and city. Would recommend to all fellow travelers.
Everything! It was the best choice that my friends and I did! From the rooms to the manager, everything works perfectly! I recommend The Vagabond to everyone! It was a real good experience!
Great guesthouse, pleasant hostess, good location
