Convenient location. Courteous staff. Modern facilities. The room was too small and cramped - hardly any space to walk around |

We had a lovely time at this Hotel, the only problem, and its a big problem is that when we first booked the hotel took 50% of the cost which was fine, and informed us that the remaining 50% would be payable on arrival, again that was fine, however the Hotel took the remaining 50% 2 weeks prior to our arrival, breaking their terms and conditions, but more so, in doing so my Mortgage payment bounced and I incurred £35fee from my Mortgage company, and £8 from my bank for a bounced Direct Debit. I phoned the Hotel when I knew this had happened and they said they would talk to the owner but no one got back to me, I didn't mention this when I was there because we had such a lovely time, and I didn't want this to sour our stay. |

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I forgot an electric converter to charge my camera battery, and they found one for me to use during my stay. Also, the buffet breakfast, a variety of food choices, was delicious, and really started the day off well. |

Good food, friendly staff mostly, good location Amazingly, the hotel was unable to provide 2 towels for a double room, twice. The first night we arrived to one towel, asked for a 2nd which eventually did arrive (apparently after someone had to go across town to find it). The next morning, both towels were removed by cleaners, and only 1 left in its place. When we asked for a second that evening, the manager looked at me as though I was crazy wanting a second, ummed and ahhed and eventually admitted the hotel was full to bursting, and their cleaning company couldn't keep up with the requirement. He was unable to provide 2 towels for 2 people staying. A pretty basic requirement. I won't be going back. They feel the need to extend themselves beyond capacity and provide substandard service |

Helpfulness of all the staff Slightly unfinished feel to the room which was in an annexe 5 minutes walk from the main hotel. No seat of table, no towelrail in the bathroom. Clear glas window and no blind in bathroom overlooked by appartments. |

Very good hot breakfast. The Manager Gary was extremely amiable and, along with his staff, made every guest feel welcome Room was very small with no windows to outside. No fridge to store drinking water when needed at night . Verbal complaint registered of toilet seat being very loose and the water pressure low. No LAN telephone in the room was somewhat of an inconvenience |

It was central to what we wanted for sight seeing and tourist attractions. It was easy to get to and from the airport The "rooms" or houses are very over rated and over priced. The second house we stayed in was dirty and the linen had not been changed or washed. Was not very impressed with rotting walls etc |

Total VIP treatment! The staff and management were great, friendly and always had that willing to help attitude. The hotel was very stylish, well designed and very comfortable. I enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be visiting The Village Lodge Hotel again. I would love to be back sipping cocktails at the pool on the roof and feeling very important. |

The view from the roof - when the construction stopped it was spectacular. We had breakfast on the roof on our last morning and were the last ones there; breathtaking scenery, peaceful and quiet and we could take in the beauty of the location. The food in the restaurant was also excellent and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. The construction site next door - caused a lot of noise and made what could have been a very relaxing stay very noise-polluted! The parking was also affected by the builders as the hotel doesn't have its own private parking so you need to compete with construction workers for parking space. |

That it was fairly central to most of the places I wanted to be at. It was a little noisy at night while trying to sleep with working staff and other guests arriving late . |
