Excellent location. The guys at the reception are extremely friendly and helpfull.

Noise from the Skybar on the roof. Breakfast is included which should be mentioned on your website. General deferred maintenance.

It was amazing, a real gem hidden away from the bustling world. Peace and tranquilty in the middle of the city. The roof top terrace and pool were truly magical and the customer service excellent.

The room was a little on the small side.

Room with porch/patio. Good breakfast. Accessible.

Door lock was in working order but not the latch. Damp coming through from bathroom.

We had a fantastic week end. The place is fantastic and the staff a must.

The Location is about the only advantage staying here.

We did not enjoy the Chinese Male at reception, He was rude and unfriendly, there was a disciplinary hearing taking place in front of guests with screaming outbursts amongst staff, very rude and unprofessional.Parking is terrible. The Room is so small, and the television and air-conditioning does not work.Breakfast is a waste of time, nothing exciting or pleasing.The roof-top bar was closed most nights, and when is was opened, there were private functions taking place. This place was a waste and I will never recommend it to friends or stay here again. Total Disappointment:(

The location of the Village Lodge is great with small Coffee shops and a Supermarket around the corner which is great for those who do not like a buffet breakfast

Even though the hotel with its rooms are modern maintenance seems to be a problem. We have seen three different rooms over the past stays and all seem to have issues with mould on the shower ceiling caused by lack of ventilation. This issue was noticed about two years ago and hasn 't been fixed.

dirty dirty dirty do not stay here - the place is tired : chipped tiles , paint peeling , matresses are worn - linen soiled , full of pubic hair , holes in linen - showers full of mould and dirt - shocking for cape town

1. The location is fantastic -- between the city and Sea Point, the waterfront and the Bo-Kaap area. 2. Close to the gay venues. 3. Very friendly staff -- Benson and Gary, et al. 4. The free wi-fi.

1. My room was freezing and the 'heating' wasn't very warm, even when I had it turned up to 30 degrees. Ok, it was winter in Cape Town at the time, but I think attention could be given to heating the rooms more effectively. 2. The staff ALWAYS forgot to replenish my supplies of coffee, teabags and milk sachets, and I had to ask for more at reception nearly every day. 3. Not everyone likes a cooked breakfast -- this hotel should offer cereal, muesli, breadrolls, fruit, etc at breakfast.

If your room is located close tothe rooftop terrace it can be very noisy

Since the Velvet sky airliner was grounded,we reduced our stay with one night because of the bus schedule.I Was glad that we were promised to be credited in future.That is commendable.

I am a non-smoker and there was a time where the smoke from smokers was smelled in our room and I felt bad . It seems the smoking area is not isolated from the rooms. It will be best for them to sort out the issue of smoking area.

we booked in to be close to Two Oceans Marathon. Caught a taxi to the event. Loved the Lodge will book in again next year. Such a nice area

Room was small and did not cater for storing luggage. Bathroom also needs more packing, hanging space.

Location, value for money, friendly staff.

Bedroom carpet didn't look clean.

At reservation time(six months before my visit) I requested a room with a sea view and safe parking. Was put into a room without any view at all and no safe parking(a security guard was however in place) Raised a complaint and was moved to another room also without any view. There could have been a response from the hotel within the six months to inform me that they could not accomodate the request.

Bien qu'assez petites les chambres ont une belle terrasse avec vue sur Table Mountain. Coin tranquille avec un personnel super accueillant . Un petit coucou spécial au Manager ainsi qu'à son assistant qui ont été très attentifs et bien fort aimables. L'emplacement de ce lodge est génial: en plein centre de Dewaterkant avec ses bars et restaurants...

Le gardien de nuit qui pourrait être plus souriant.le coté bruyant du personnel de nettoyage .

Leider nichts, sehr enttäuscht, sonst mit booking.com sehr zufrieden.

Heruntergekommen, schmutzig,dachterrasse offen auch für Nichtgäste,laut bis in die Nacht, Parties,Mobiliar Bruch, zu klein für Gepäck.
