That we couldn't spend an extra night as they were booked out
Fantastic location and very helpful staff. A stunning place to stay. The villa was very comfortable and adequately equipped.
We had a problem with mosquitos on the one night we were there. It's a shame we weren't told about this as we could have purchased an insect spray.
The Villas were so spectacular and special. We really felt like we were in some sort of high-end hawaiian resort tucked away. Very spacious and had everything we needed. The staff was so great and helpful. They didn't have any beer on hand and went out of their way to go into town and pick some up for us. I would definitely book at the Villas again!
Thought it was strange that there was no phone in the Villas so every time we needed something we had to walk to the office. It was nearby, but still interesting. Also, they are pretty tucked away so the drivers we had got lost finding the location on our way in and out. Might want to provide clear instructions on the booking website to avoid this.
I liked our one night stay at The Villas as we were really tired and it was lovely to be out of the main road of Franschoek with a country feel, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
Very nice ambiance
No staff at office when checking out.
The villa is very spacious, clean, with all the facilities you need. It has a nice terasse where you can enjoy a glass of wine and a living area.
There were quite a lot of mosquitoes in the evening, hence it would have been great if the bed had a mosquito net.
Lovely setting, comfy villa
The bed is just to hard.
Very good accommodation, pretty thatched cottages, would definitely stay again
everything was great, from the accomodation and scenery. Will definitely be back
Gardens Location Villa layout Privacy of each villa with on site parking Close proximity to town The fact that you could use the hotels facilities
Kitchen: A few additional basic items were needed eg bread/chopping board, extra pot and pan/mixing bowl. The 2 chairs at the counter are ridiculous as they are far to high and it would be better to do away with them altogether if lower chairs are not going to be provided Bathroom: towel rack at basin for hand towel as in the toilet Lounge. Do away with old fashion TV and cabinet which only 1 person could watch. Replace with flat screen wall mounted TV - this would give more space in the narrow lounge area as well General: A maintenance crew needs to go through the villa checking items such as sticking doors, loose door hinges - which I fixed etc
Had a great time! Franschoek is a great town for a family weekend away. Our stay at The Villas was comfortable.... Great setting!
Decor of the villas beds were comfortable the unit was cosy the grounds are particularly well kept
the staff was not extremely helpful at reception the hotel can invest in training staff to be more professional there's no gym I would not spend time at the spa, its outdated and needs a renovation
Everything, spacious beautifully decorated the views from villas were stunning , the chocs on pillow and daily weather report was a special touch. staff were all helpful and friendly.
was so impressed there wasnt anything to dislike time was too short
Absolutely stunning views.
The room with the toilet and sink is a bit awkward and squeezed.
Inge at reception went over and above our expectations to make our last three nights in South Africa special.
Location, cleanliness, beautiful grounds
Very minimal self-catering utensils
Tania, at reception is professional, helpful and friendly. She really impressed me. Secondly, this must be the cleanest place I have stayed at for many years. Most impressive!
Lovely little 'house' in smart gardens within hotel complex, with use of hotel facilities, within secure environment.
Basic kitchen equipment. Decorated in a bland style.
the toilet is very very small. midgets or very skinny builders were obviously used.
I liked the security, fantastic grounds and situation, the pool, the spa, the restaurant.
I did not like the poor lay out of the villa. The only toilet was far too small. One of the wardrobes could not be opened as tha air con was in the way. Bedroom was very small with only a narrow path arround the bed. The bed was poor quality and uncomfortable.
Lots of space and a beautiful setting. Staff were friendly and helpful with restaurant and winery recommendations.
Peaceful, clean, secure parking, WiFi and computer access, well maintained grounds and gardens. The receptionist was especially helpful particularly with her recommendation to visit the amazing gardens at Babylonstoren where we spent a whole day.
Location instructions could be improved to make it easier to find.
