Situated along the garden route, only 2 km from Franschhoek, Lavender Farm Guest House is nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains. Guests can relax on a sun lounger, poolside, under an umbrella.

Score from 68 reviews Excellent
The location is excellent. Nestled in the mountains
I requested 2 twins when I made my booking, as we travelled as a group of 4 women. And ended up sleeping on a matrass in the sitting room as the one bedroom had a double.
Superb living space, balcony and bedrooms, and good bathrooms. Picture-postcard pretty. Now free wifi.
Kitchen appliances were fine, but there were few pots, pans, dishes, utensils etc to cook with, and not even a tea towel! Service in hotel restaurant very slow.
Charming thatched villas in delightful grounds. Apparently could use the hotel's pool but limited beds (13)?
No information packs in the villa. No assistance to find the villa or with luggage. Bare minimum kitchen equipment for self-catering. Wifi didn't work in villa and either had to use the office link or walk to the hotel's lounge.
NIce area, great pool, good accom, nice View if you get a room with a view?
bit out of town some rooms a very dark
Bed was too small.
Everything about it was excellent. Fabulous villa with superbly equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge area, bathrooms and bedrooms. So quiet and peaceful too. Lovely walk through gardens to the pool area We cannot wait to stay again at what is, in our opinion, the best accommodation in the ever beautiful Franschheok
Had dinner one night at the restaurant and found it lacking in atmosphere and food quality
I would strongly recommend the villas to anyone looking for great facilities, mixed with attentive staff and more importantly great views of the mountains. Great location, only short drive from Franschhoek town and close by wine farms.
The setting, accommodation and view were really fantastic
The toilet is so small one needs to maneuver around the basin to use it!! Rather strange seeing as the bathroom is such a fair size.
Great value for money. Loved the comfort of a private flat. Reception staff very helpful.
Love this location. Wonderful for any holiday maker wishing to discover the beautiful wine lands of the Franschhoek valley
Big living-room with padio - very quiet - nice, clean, quiet and comfortable room. A very nice stay for visiting the wineries around - the villa we stayed at is ideal for 2 couples
wifi a bit weak
Ability to use facilities of the hotel-lovely pool-bar service-meals available when required
Don't get the breakfast box- items very sweet and unhealthy muffins too. Great breakfast buffet in hotel. so do that by preference, or lovely café at one of the wine estates down the road. I'll be back-loved it apart from the b.b.
Fantastic spacious Villa (no 70) with garden and upper balcony. Beautiful and spacious bedrooms with great linen. Use of hotel facilities.
our only criticism was no 2 prong plug adaptors in any of the rooms of our villa to allow for cellphone charging
The location and setting and the garden were magical. The kitchen facilities were more than adequate. The two bedroom villas were perfect. Reception were great. All round an excellent experience. Even with the few problems this will be our venue of choice in Franschhoek.
The bedroom and toilet in the one room villa was very small. The TV didn't work. Cleaning hadn't been completed before we moved in.
The villa is very comfortable: large living room with terrace, and full equipped kitchen. The common areas of the hotel/villas are nice and quiet (great view on the moutain) and the facilities are good (im particular the pool).
The bed for two persons was too small, it was not the size of a king bed.
Good kitchen facilities with large fridge, Air Con was effective. Quiet surroundings and beautiful gardens. Enjoyed the nature around us and the comfortable lounge area and bedroom with ample cupboards.
Outdated bathroom, needs a facelift, and a tiny toilet cubicle. Incorrect pricing for Breakfast by booking.com (apparently its been like this for 4 years). Breakfast is not zar125 instead its zar175
That we couldn't spend an extra night as they were booked out
Fantastic location and very helpful staff. A stunning place to stay. The villa was very comfortable and adequately equipped.
We had a problem with mosquitos on the one night we were there. It's a shame we weren't told about this as we could have purchased an insect spray.
The Villas were so spectacular and special. We really felt like we were in some sort of high-end hawaiian resort tucked away. Very spacious and had everything we needed. The staff was so great and helpful. They didn't have any beer on hand and went out of their way to go into town and pick some up for us. I would definitely book at the Villas again!
Thought it was strange that there was no phone in the Villas so every time we needed something we had to walk to the office. It was nearby, but still interesting. Also, they are pretty tucked away so the drivers we had got lost finding the location on our way in and out. Might want to provide clear instructions on the booking website to avoid this.
I liked our one night stay at The Villas as we were really tired and it was lovely to be out of the main road of Franschoek with a country feel, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
Very nice ambiance
No staff at office when checking out.
The villa is very spacious, clean, with all the facilities you need. It has a nice terasse where you can enjoy a glass of wine and a living area.
There were quite a lot of mosquitoes in the evening, hence it would have been great if the bed had a mosquito net.
Lovely setting, comfy villa
The bed is just to hard.
Very good accommodation, pretty thatched cottages, would definitely stay again
