Score from 68 reviews Excellent
Conveniently located on the vibrant Long Street in the heart of Cape Town, Long Street Boutique Hotel offers en suite rooms, and a bar. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and a small communal lounge.

Service and how central the venue is.
nothing at all bad - wifi was a bit temperamental but I suspect that was down to the comms supplier rather than the hotel itself
welcoming and friendly staff always eager to help, relaxed informal atmosphere which made you feel at home, we had large airy and cool room/suite with an excellent view.
Unfortunately the shower need to be replaced
The very friendly staff, the sisters Vovo and Wendy!
Lovely wooden floors can be noisy when you are under them
Friendly nice breakfast
There's no restaurant in the hotel, but they do provide with a self-service bar.
The personnel are great, very friendly and helpful. Good location, walking distance to stores, restaurants, and bus stations.
no coffee / tea in room twin beds in your best room? two duvets?
Very quiet but central location with the most fantastic views. Easy to get around either with or without a car. The staff and owner made us and our three year old son feel very much at home.
I booked a room online with a separate bathroom across the hall, not ideal. My room opened onto a balcony where other guests smoked and i had to close my only window onto the balcony. There was no air conditioning which would be very hot in peak summer months.
The location and size of the rooms were great. The shared amenities and breakfast was excellent with very friendly and helpful staff. It felt like you were in your own home. I will definitely stay again but in a larger room.
Nice and big rooms You feel like to be a part of a big family Very nice breakfast
I had no bathroom in my room and had to walk to facilities. Not enough pillows/cold and uncomfortable bed. Breakfast was undercooked. No coffee/tea in the room. The TV looks like it came from the 60's!! Nobody asked if we were happy and we were left to share a patio with 2 older couples!! Waste of money and 5 star rating needs to be questioned!!!
Eskom's Load shedding during our stay, but the candle light made up for that.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The bed was kingsize and I did appreciate the extra length. The Shower which is in the bath has a lovely showerhead and I loved it. The breakfasts was delightful.
* Location (in comparison with Camps Bay)
* Ocean View * Breakfast * Staff
If you have a car, access is easy to move around cape town and the peninsula etc, if not I think it may be a little complicated as it is about a five-ten min drive from downtown
The view, both to the ocean and up lionshead, the noble arquitecture in the building, the access to the kitchen and friendly staff
the stuff is friendy, and helpfull.
quiet but centrally located
All. Well located, very confortable, quiet. Ten minutes from Table Mountain, from Waterfront, from Campsbay. Adorable staff.
How this hotel has 5 stars is beyond me? I was told it's owned by a German man & it certainly lives up to the german stereotype of efficient. The lights are turned off most of the time which is a safety concern, especially at night. There was nobody at reception after 6pm which was awkward as we organised a tour with an agent on the Waterfront late one evening & they said they would call our guesthouse to confirm tour but they were unable to get through to us as no one was available at reception. Walden Suites are understaffed and the staff that were on were unqualified students. The walls are paper thin and the handle actually fell off our door when checking in. My I-Pad was bigger than the TV in the room. When I phoned to speak to the manager I found her to be rude and unhelpful as well as in denial regarding the 5 stars. This place is probably a 5 star hostel at best. My advice would be to book into The Claranden up the road, it has four stars but should have 5 and will make your stay far more pleasant. They also have no lift which is a requirement when advertising yourself as five star.
Unhelpful and surly reception staff (with one major exception).
Stunning building and tastefully fitted out, with great views of the coast.
The budget room we had booked did not meet the description on the website. It did not have a private bathroom or shower as described, but rather a shared bathroom with other guests.
We originally booked a budget room but opted to upgrade to a suite upon arrival as it had its own bathroom.
Very friendly staff, and rooms were very large (suite) and comfortable.
