Staff eager to help us as we arrived early were leaving late and had to leave luggage at hotel. We were upgraded to double rooms with views of Table Top. A cheap taxi ride or walk from all the major city sites. Excellent breakfast included. Rooms spacious with all facilities. Compared with our hotel in Rio on the same trip and for the same price Townhouse was streets ahead. Can't wait to go back to Cape Town and when I do there's only one place I'll be staying - The Townhouse.

The service levels and staff's friendliness and helpfulness was excellent A bit away from the V&A Waterfront was a bit difficult as a courtesy bus would be a major advantage as we have experienced in the past.

Not an ultramodern hotel but rather a well maintained hotel with a more genteel feel. The rooms were nicely sized, comfortable bed and kept spotless by the staff. The rooms were well soundproofed so you had no extraneous noise from other rooms. The restaurant was pleasant and the food well above average. As others have noted, the breakfast really sets you up for the day. The hotel is quite well placed in a slightly quieter part of town next to the parliament buildings but only a 10 minute stroll into the very town centre. It is also a 10 minute walk to the Cape Malay area for some of the best food in the country. Car parking was straightforward in a multi-story car park next door to the hotel with access from level ‘m’ to the 7th floor of the hotel. Daily costs were very reasonable. I have read some adverse comments about the staff but in my experience they were all excellent. Always a smile a few friendly words and always very helpful with advise where to visit and give directions etc. My only gripe was that there were only two elevators and boy were they slow. Modern and good size they were, but waiting for lifts took forever. The hotel was not heavily booked so I would think it could be a bit of a problem in the holiday season

Staff really friendly and flexible. Late check out to fit in with my plans for the delay at no extra cost, safe place to keep luggage. Restaurant food good and very generous glass of wine. Centrally placed - 5 minutes walk to parliament walk and botanical gardens. Staff on hand to offer advice and directions. Room functional but had all I needed. Nothing

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the centre of the Cape Town CBD and shopping areas. The room was well equiped, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is superb, one of the best we have had in South Africa. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If arriving by car, the parking is in an adjacent multi-storey car park. The hotel allocated parking is on a high floor which was not very convienent.

The Location The map they offered on Capetown The staff could have been more helpful. I felt there was some relutance in serving me...the cheerfulness for hosting a guest was definately not there. They can also be more detailed in cleanliness in the room.

Located in the center of Capetown with view on Tablemountain. Friendly and helpfull staff. Excellent breakfast and recommendable restaurant for dinner. Room doors to be looked at as banging all the time due to strong winds. Bar service to be improved.

The perfect location to stay downtown Cape Town. Everything is in a walking distance and the environment is absolutely safe. If you come by car you will enjoy the parking house right at the Hotel. Ask for a room in the upper floors and you will have a chance to see the table mountain right from your window.

I would recommend the junior suite. It is just sad that the aircon didn't work properly. The hotel is situated in a location close to the City Bowl. I found that parking was a bit expensive and it was a mission to park all the way on level M. The staff was helpful and friendly. When you stay at this hotel, make sure that there are no major events (like the Cape Town Minstrel Carnival) in the City Centre, as they block the streets and you might get stuck in traffic for very long! You can only park securely at this hotel and parking is only available on level M. It is a bit pricy. When you stay at this hotel, make sure that there are no major events (like the Cape Town Minstrel Carnival) in the City Centre, as they block the streets and you might get stuck in traffic for very long!
