Failure to refund guests if booking isn't taken
Its the small things. Attention to detail . The curtains hanging off the rail. No Soap.
Location friendly staff
Outside Noise every night Lift not always working being on top floor was a workout Key Card for door needed to be re- calibrated most days
Free parking and a good breakfast.
It was extremely noisy with all the clubs in Long street. Management should consider installing sound proofing materials, I.e double glazing. Reception staff could be friendlier and more engaged.
The room! Clean white linen. Spacious bedroom. Lovely modern interior. The bathroom is gorgeous.
Having to order and wait for breakfast to be prepared. Restaurant only serves breakfast and a light simple lunch. It's closed for dinner. It was really inconvenient and the food isn't at all amazing.
very central location, right next to all the bars
power outages (not the hotel's fault), poor WiFi connction
Room layout, bed, linen, excellent receptionists!
Breakfast room, mediocre food, mediocre service, tables not cleaned Hotel too hot and stuffy
wow the urban Chic Hotel staff they go that extra mile to help you understand Cape Town. The Room Service is quick. All the staff is friendly. this is the best hotel to be.
everything was ok
Terrible and see through curtains-was little diff between day and night. grubby furniture. put into a room on noisy side knowing I was on business-it was a Sunday night, I thought they new Sunday nights were quiet early. Party over the road till 4 the next morning.
This hotel is quite modern with excellent rooms and a first class location on Long Street. It doesn't have a restaurant but that doesn't really matter as there are many around you including The charismatic Mama Africa across the street. A good breakfast is available. I was on business at the Superior High Court and this is obviously the nearest hotel and I was able to leave my car in their car park all day.
I was OK but my friends were on the front so there was a bit of noise from the bars and restaurants
Staff were so slow in serving breakfast it often took us 45 minutes to complete breakfast and we were there for 8 days. Also, the location on Long Street is too loud and too busy at night and also a crime hotspot
The day staff were very friendly and very helpful, cant say the same for the night staff who never bothered to greet us or smile. Rooms were okay, and the bathrooms really nice.
The night time noise from the nightclub across the road, as well as the restaurants was terrible and we couldn't sleep. We had to keep asking for our coffee supplies to be replenished and then we got the wrong type of coffee. Service at breakfast not so great.
Close to the venue where we had our business appointment.Affordable
noise levels during the night from the pubs
Rena at Reception was the very essence of a welcoming, helpful and caring Concierge... as if Urban Chic was a much larger hotel. Amenities in the room were also excellent - bed was comfortable, shower and bathroom also, coffee maker...
Long Street itself can be a bit loud, partying youth in your face (like parts of Soho in London or Wan Chai in HK). By no means the fault of the hotel...
Very Central, friendly staff, clean and neat rooms
The noise of the Space Bar across the road which went on till 3.30am and the revving of motorbike engines. Didn't sleep much even though on the 6th floor.
Great views, good breakfast, fantastic location
cleaning staff had to be reminded to replace toilet paper, shampoo & soap
Very noisy place, loud music until 2 a.m., very slow breakfast service, weak wifi connection.
The staff was excellent and did their best effort to make us comfortable.
Hotel is located across from several night clubs that plays loud music until 2;30 AM. The windows of the room are not sound resistant. The hotel is in downtown centrally located but you cannot walk in this area after dark for fear of mugging. All persons in my group of four rooms did not sleep well. The hotel advertises of free internet in the rooms. This is almost non existent. As I was on business trip, it was difficult to accomplish my tasks in the morning and evening. I will not recommend this hotel to any one even though the staff is excellent but I think owners are not interested in improvements.
The bathroom was stunning breakfast was awesome did not expect that.
Nothing really maybe just upgrade tv.
The room was spacious and clean
It's extremely hard to find the hotel The staff are rude and unhelpful The corridors spell of smoke The bathtub leaks - so your water does not stay in the tub There is no coffee and or tea making facilities in the rooms They do not warn you that there will be noise right through the night - making it impossible to sleep There is no option for ordering food in the evening There's not enough parking-bays for the amount of guests
Loved the vibe
Location - Nice and central View - Amazing of Table Mountain Breakfast - Quality of offering was good
Tea/Coffee station was not complete on arrival and we had to request daily for a refresh, no teaspoons were provided had to be requested There was also no hairdryer in the room, should be standard for a 4 star Breakfast staff were friendly, but lacked care and service, tables of guests that had finished breakfast stood dirty
It was my 30th birthday. i received a bottle of JC Leroux and cheap clicks chocolates. Still i appreciated the gesture. The room is big and clean. over looks long street. Breakfast was very good.
i was put on the 2nd floor. in the heart of the noise from long street. I requested to be moved and was polity assured they would move me but never did. the TV in the room is very old and made the most awful buzzing noise. i complained and no one bothered to do anything about it. With the noise on long street and the buzzing, i was totally unhappy. I DID NOT SLEEP AT ALL. The noise only ended at 4am every morning. the breakfast staff was not friendly.
A wee bit noisy for my liking
