Very pleasant staff Very good location
The location is fantastic; breakfast in the harbor with seals playing in the water. Excellent value for money!
Wifi was a bit cranky....could be improved.
this hotel is always a pleasure to stay in, great location for the waterfront. food & service great.
Haven't come across anything yet & have stayed at the V&A hotel many times
The location. Very helpful staff Very nice bathroom and shower.
Bed was so comfortable I tended to oversleep!!! Complimentary bottled water was in too small bottles.
excellent location, very easy parking, quite big & comfortable rooms, shopping centres in & near the hotel, higly secure
free wi-fi in the rooms but hard to connect
We found excellent and speedy service, great, good value food, the best location on the waterfront. its a mixture of old warehouse and opulent modern style. We were upgraded but i am sure all rooms good, obviously attic rooms wont have views.. All fittings were of very high quality. the best buffet breakfast i have ever seen with huge variety plus oysters and bucks fizz! excellent.
Excellent location in the middle of the waterfront.
Constantly having to log into the WiFi. Management staff at breakfast were most unfriendly & made you feel like you were being an inconvenience just being there. The waiting staff which there was large numbers of but yet couldn't seem to manage, seemed very unhappy and there appeared to be conflict between management & staff. For the price we paid we expected a superior experience.
We loved the location and the amazing view of the harbor and of Table Mountain from our window. It was so beautiful that we would order room service so we could enjoy the views. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Amazing hotel to relax in and enjoy Cape Town.
The WiFi kept going in and out during our stay. That was a bit frustrating.
The location is great being right in the heart of the V&A waterfront area with all its attractions, with the benefit of being able to enjoy breakfast right on the dockside. Use of pool belonging to sister hotel included, just across the road in beautiful garden with good chairs and towels provided. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Excellent breakfast. Good large room on 2nd. floor. Outstanding bathroom. Free parking.
We could hear street music (it is, after all, that kind of area) during the day in our "piazza facing" room. We were assured this would always finish by 8pm. and it always did. We soon got used to it and maybe even started to enjoy it.
The location was fabulous, room was so lovely and roomy, staff were incredible. I would definitely stay there again if I return to Cape Town. A true highlight of my 5 week travel and a delight when I disembarked from a month long cruise. Cynthia at the front desk is amazing. You cannot go wrong at this place!
Location Freindly staff View Spacious room
Convenience of being at the Waterfront, close to shops and restaurants. No Car Rental required if you are just spending time at the Waterfront. Safe as plenty security everywhere. Free parking offered in a very high tourist area.
being greeted by the doorman at the elevator each time. almost everyone greeted us with a warm, endearing hello with an equally endearing smile the room was perfect for us - allowing us sufficient room for our four bags, while being spotlessly clean and kept that way each day. ...the taffy! ...the ability to eat outside as well as inside. the ability to order a customized omlette.
...the staff could have been a bit more attentive at breakfast. had to look for the waitress/waiter a few times to refill coffee. ...it would have been nice if you guys offered smoothies (e.g. strawberry or banana), as we had at the Westin. Would have topped off the breakfast experience. ...also would have been nice to have a small assortment of muffins to choose from.
the key of my room 128, every day we have problem for open the door.
Fabulous location. Huge rooms and quality, sparkling bathroom. View to die for. Look no further for your choice in CT.
It was our silver wedding anniversary week and we were made to feel like royals on the day with a lot of complimrnatry gifts and special reception Thank you V&A
Each time one had to login for wi-fi
Room. View. Outlay of room. Roomservice. Helpful & pleasant staff.
I used to stay at v&a before, but how the standards have slipped!! Good senior staff but v.poor further down
Terrible reception.we had to wait two hours for the room at midday when checking in. The problem was that the reception staff was totally inflexible. I made her change the room that was allocated to us in the end and low and behold, we had a room. We also had problems with the room key card as the machine was broken. I doubt that I will be staying here again. There are too many good hotels in Capetown who invest in the infra-structure and staff.
Location in the heart of The Waterfront Friendliness of staff
Sometimes noisy from outside activity But generally evenings were quiet Young children may be disturbed by the noise
Location was good
When i booked on line I specifically advised that we were 3 teenagers and 2 adults and my booking was confirmed. When I checked later it showed that the 2 rooms booked were for 2 people each. I had to request an extra bed for one person and for the extra bed i was charged an additional R1150 which i thought was ludicrous!!!! When I queried the amount the manager was actually very RUDE and asked me where I thought the extra person was going to sleep. So NOT impressed!
Location is excellent. Modern rooms, clean and new.
Perfect location. Lovely, spacious room overlooking the harbour/Table Mountain. Excellent breakfasts outside, by the water's edge. Staff friendly & helpful. Parking available right outside hotel.
Would have liked access to a pool at end of a hard day's tourism! Unfortunately, no space to build one. Sister hotel's pool is just a disappointing, splash pool.
We went for this hotel because of its excellent location and were not disappointed. They gave us a beautifully furnished room on the first floor with a view of Table Mountain. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. We used their limousine service to collect and return us to the airport and was worth the money at around £45.
I dealt with a lady called Tino at reception. She was the best receptionist I have ever met. Incredibly helpful, polite, knowledgable and friendly and a true asset to this hotel!
