Very good and nice hotel. Perfect value for money ratio. The parking is INSIDE the Waterfront and the restaurant and breakfast has windows with a wonderful port and table mountain view
The superb staff service
When we arrived we were sent to a room that wasnt ready so we were given another room. Following morning my wife was awakened with a request for our car key. As I had left previous evening with my car this was bewildering.
..managers attitude stinks ..rooms need spring cleaning..smelly ..needs upgrading look..paint work.. etc
Nothing at all
Excellent location, big room, very good breakfast, attentive and service orientated staff, free WiFi that works and an amazing view.
Great bed good sized room with enormous bathroom fantastic breakfast restaurant on the waterfront
The service can be a liitle slow and the night turndown people never got the fact there were two of us in the room. Get an odd numbered room. They face the harbor.
The buffet breakfast is excellent. Who else serves oysters and mimosa's? The hot entrees were good. We used the hotel restaurant as well. Like a private dining room. Good food, compettive prices, good wine selections. Rooms comfy and spacious. Excellent airport transfer arrangements.
Breakfast with eggs florentine to die for
The taxi I'd pre-booked to take me to the Newlands start line of the Two Oceans ultra-marathon never arrived. After waiting over 25 minutes I was lucky enough to get a lift from another runner, otherwise I would have missed the race, which was the main reason I had travelled to Cape Town. The only other downsides were that the wifi only worked for one person per room at a time and the windowpanes in our loft room rattled very noisily in high winds.
Ideally located for all sightseeing, most gorgeous views of Table Mountain over the delicious breakfast, super-friendly & efficient staff (special thanks to Marvelous, Forget, Wanda and Nkosi).
The fact that breakfast not included was disappointing for me in a 4 Star hotel. The price attached to having breakfast at the hotel relative to variety offered expensive.
Linen, space in room.
The balcony access was blocked from the room. The remote for the blinds did not work
Excellent location Awesome breakfast that includes champagne
Location, casual style, excellent service
Breakfast was too expensive, we ate elsewhere
Location was excellent
Wifi was a bit hit and miss but apart from that it was absolutely what I'd expect for the price paid
Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Location in the centre of all the activity and perfect for a solo traveller
- overpriced - wifi slow and unstable in rooms - Extremely slow service at breakfast and distracted waiters
- Great location - Overall nice and cozy hotel, but
Air conditioning at the room not working properly
Very help fue staff
Poor service at breakfast seemed to be a problem
1. First room that was allocated. This was on third floor with sloping ceiling and an opening rooflight. Felt claustrophobic. Not possible to admire the view. After complaining allocated an excellent room next day on First floor 2. Service in restaurant. Lots of helpers but all much too slow.
Location! Set in the heart of the bustling Waterfront
reserved room being doublebooked on first night,. hotel made ammends but shouldnt happen
great room and view overlooking table mountain and harbour
Not a bad experience exactly but I objected to having to pay the full bill for the 4 day stay upfront AND to have extra approvals on my credit card to cover further expenses. The hotel should review its policy on that as it made me as a customer feel like I was being regarded as potential thief!!!
Superb location on the waterfront. Great breakfast menu, great view of the harbour and Table Mountain from the room. Really helpful staff. Really well appointed and comfortable room.
location and breakfast was perfect, if u gonna stay in downtown waterfront this hotel is best choice
The loft rooms are pricey for the size
Great views of Table mountain right in the centre of the Waterfront. Any number of restaurants nearby but the hotel restaurant was very good as well. Fantastic breakfast and very polite and friendly staff right on the waters edge
Location is great, but don't pay for breakfast if you plan on checking out early - you likely won't receive the promised to-go breakfast even after going through the trouble of requesting and filling out forms.
We loved our stay here, everything was great. Location and breakfast are excellent, staff did a great job except the last day they were very unprofessional and unhelpful. We were checking out at 4:30 am in order to catch a flight to Joburg. We were told the night before to request a to-go breakfast and the time we'd like it delivered. My husband followed the instructions, filled out the form and hung it on the doorknob outside the room. The next morning we did not receive our breakfast packs. When we asked the front desk they had no idea, but he asked the kitchen staff and they didn't know anything either (what's the point of filling out forms if no one knows anything?). Anyhow the front desk asked us if we really filled out the form, if we really hung it outside the door, and if we had indicated time and date clearly. I felt it was very condescending and frustrating. I asked if we could get a to go box to pack some fruits and even that it took forever to arrange. We paid in advance for breakfast for our entire stay, including the last morning. The customer service was horrendous the day we checked out, left a sour taste in our mouths.
Great location step out of the door and among it all. Fantastic breakfast that includes champagne and oysters and smoked salmon and you can eat on the waters edge. Great view of the harbour and Table Mountain.
helpful staff when asking for ideas of where to go
