The staff were friendly and the hotel had good facilities and old style charm
Gardens and view Spa Art and historic artefacts
An absolute spoil!!!!!
The friendliness of the staff, the beautiful garden, the choice of places to eat, the lovely design of the public spaces and bedrooms, the location, the efficiency of the staff on the desk where they would book you trips.
We liked everything!
Just about everything !!!
Having to remember to book to eat at the Square
Whole experience during our 9 day stay was memorable we will be back.
Nothing really but internet could be improved
Attention to detail! Gifts and champagne. Loved the gardens
Attentive staff, the breakfast, the terrace, the garden, the surroundings,+++
Clean less of rooms very poor supervision we found mushroom growing on sun beds air conditioning not working service at terrace and bar lounge very appalling
The Staff,The tastefully appointed room, Bathroom toiletries were excellent.I loved it all. Second visit and ill come again. ll
Location has it all. Close to everything. Staff friendly but unobtrusive.
Chipped crockery at breakfast, a hole in a bed sheet and sagging chairs in the breakfast room.
Very comfortable and in excellent location
The courtyard room was beautiful and walking in the sun was shining through making it a tiny piece of heaven. It had all the necessities and luxuries you could ask for. The bathroom was spacious with a heated towel rack and a bath as well as shower. The bed was large and inviting. Excellent feather duvet and pillows. Temperature in the room was perfect, never to warm or too cold. You spoilt for choice with dining options. We went to Myoga for the 7 course tasting menu. Excellent! Breakfast is ample with a choice of cereals, fresh pastries, fruit and warm breakfasts. Talking a walk in the gardens is like stepping into another world.
Balcony door couldn't open.
Top drawer staff, wonderful room - modern but with genuine character, excellent food and an ambience that facilitated a restorative stay. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation and would certainly hope to return.
OK, if I had to gripe I would comment on the poor art in my room; however, in mitigation there was an outstanding exhibition of SA woodcuts in the public area, as well as a piece created by Richard Long and some interesting ceramics.
Loved the garden setting & friendliness & beautiful mix of old & new at hotel.
We were celebrating our anniversary and every employee we met congratulated us and spoilt us with phenomenal service. Amazing
Tv options were very limited and disappointing
Polite and courteous staff. Very professional but unpretentious. Excellent value for money. Closeness to all main attractions without living in the middle of it all meaning you can switch off if need be and enjoy the tranquility.
Can't think of any
Restaurant closed both days we were there
It was amazing. The hotel is verywell located and the employees are very friendly. It was easily to travel into town with the transport company which you can easily book at the travel desk in the hotel. Thanks! I will defenitly came back.
I liked that the staff were efficient and friendly and that we got upgraded simply because of availability - this turned out to make our stay even more special as it was the start of our honeymoon. The unexpected gift and recognition from the hotel with regards to our new status was a pleasant and welcome surprise - we definitely hope to return soon.
The staff all really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Indoor heated pool was great and so were the gym facilities. The hotel feels smaller and more intimate than it actually is. Easy walk to shops and restaurants
