Everything is just great here but one added pleasure is the wine list of local wines, with the opportunity to have a huge range by the glass. You really can have the appropriate wine for the food, at each menu choice.
Having to come home, we could have happily stayed a week
Your staff are amongst your greatest assets. We single out David Wibley, Sweetness, Crystal and Cheryl but there are others too who give us a wonderful welcome and without fail remember our names.
pool area and view of mountains breakfast room size large bathroom friendly helpful staff
Cant think of anything
Myoga restaurant, concierge, location, karst tour operators
Excellent position for everything even the airport
I had a most relaxing three days at the vineyard. The beautiful opulence and luxury of my accommodation was only matched by the charm and helpfulness of the lovely staff. Thank you so much.
The food, staff, location and hotel facilities were all excellent.
Location and service
Loved the gardens of the hotel. And had a great view of the mountains.
Did feel the bathrooms where up to scratch, a bit out dated
The gardens/ rooms and general ambiance. Almost has a bygone "colonial" feel. Makes you feel special and "at home".improved immensly since my last visit a few years ago!! I will always use the Vineyard on my business trips again now.
Nothing! Although the hotel had got much larger it still retains its ambiance. Too many non hotel guests sometimes in the restaurants and bars, especially at weekends.
The Vineyard wasn't just another hotel... It was an experience. A completely relaxing and tranquil weekend away, surrounded by lush gardens and a breathtaking mountain view.
Lovely place ..gardens wonderful
Appalling service on the terrace outside..we had to make a complaint.
Felt at home.Excellent staff.
N/A The seven tastings in the Magogo ? Restaurant did not really suit my style. I will know better next time
breakfast, garden, service, restaurant/bar prices, peace, fast wifi, good TV coverage
accessibility, shuttle service poor & expensive, limited menu, weekends crowded
What a awesome 3 nights we had once again at the Vineyard hotel. The breakfasts were delicious with a huge selection. The hotel was amazing. Just loved being able to sit out under the big trees admiring the beautiful gardens. Look forward to staying here again in 2015
Location Views over the mountain Walking in the luscious gardens within hotel grounds Close to various amenities
Parking as all parking in CPT is a bit tight. Lack of equality at times ie foreigners vs locals Serve with equality
Relaxed atmosphere and scenic grounds
My son getting trapped in the lift
The location, far away from the crowded Atlantic seaboard was ideal. The rolling green lawns and lush grounds in the shadow of the beautiful mountain, the friendly and efficient service, the comfortable room, the excellent food - all added up to an extremely pleasant few days in one of Cape Town's iconic hotels.
The spa is possibly a little over rated .....my manicure was not the best I've ever had!
Stunning view of Table Mountain and fabulous gardens. Comfort and warm and helpful staff. Quick access to Kirstenbosch gardens, walks on Table Mountain, the centre of Cape Town & Muizenberg. Good restaurants also!
Magnificent gardens. Wonderful pool and superb restuarants. Almost like a resort
Everything was wonderful
Location superb Wonderful gardens
Staff-dining section-could be a bit more efficient
All the staff were very friendly, polite, and all dressed appropriately. Which is pleasant
Hotel was very nice. Staff very helpful. Friendly.
Court yard view rooms the view is not to be recommended view not good. Hotel pool couldn't cope with number of guests ! It would need 2 extra pools to cope. Hotel doesn't look like the picture on the web. There is No Driveway, it is in the middle of housing estate! We felt it had far too many guests staying! We only stayed 2 of the 6 nights we were supposed to stay.
