It is conveniently located and very well appointed. Not 5 star but a very strong 3/4 star. It is self catering but unless one is a staying for more a couple of days, it is far easier and more fun to pop across to the v&a for meals. Access is quite complicated and it took us some time to discover the best pedestrian routes. but that is a minor complaint!

Location, nice and modern. Facilities good. Matress too hard. Needs a good clean! Fingermarks all over. Towels to small! Carpets in passage very dirty. Rooms need a good paint, walls are cracking.. Carpets in rooms need cleaning as well. Will not recommend to anybody at the moment, not before you upgrade and clean.

Our Apartment was large enough for the five of us not to get in anyone's way. It is also well equipt and very tidy. The views are stunning and the location fabulous for access to the waterfront. The price we paid was also another added bonus. At the time of booking I couldn't believe it! Far cheaper than any hotel and we didn't have to get up early for breakfast, yeah! Will definitely consider it again. Thanks a million Sharon Irons and family

Location was great. Staff were friendly. Confusion re parking and should have been communicated to us before we arrived and exact location. Appartment was stunning - luxurious and well situated. Despite being a Self catered aparment we would have appreciated a mini bar as we arrived late and could not find anything open. Due to high cos of the apartment, maybe this service should be arranged. No Towels!!! Made life very difficult. They did give us a number to phone them but did not note down and when it came to wishing to phone them ... unable to contact them.

Wow! What a great place to stay. Room (apartment) was very well equipped and mega-comfortable, over-looking the canal leading to the waterfront. Waterfront shopping and restaurants were an 8 minute walk from our room. Canal boats were available to take you into center-city. You can also easily drive and park at the waterfront - 2 minutes away. The waterfront has a wonderful aquarium, wonderful restaurants, great museum, huge shopping mall. Many attractions in center city are reachable by canal boat or busses. Best value for money we have seen. Great fro families as well. An 11 out of 10. Prior to booking we had read all of the reviews, and saw none of the negatives. No close place for breakfast - cook your own, or buy pastries at the waterfront for the next morning's continental breakfast. If you have not driven in Cape Town (it was our first time) it will be hard to find the reservation building without a gps (ours took us right to the door, otherwise we would have been seriously lost, as the maps do not show the streets). We decided not to drive into town to visit center city museums due to concerns about getting lost, but on our last afternoon we took the canal boat cruise from the harbor and it goes right into center city. Had we known earlier about this, we could have seen the museums that we had earlier planned on visiting.

Location was good and quality of the accommodation was first class. Would be better value for money with two couples or family sharing as accommodation was generous. Poor internet access ( free wi fi only at reception)

Was over to see my husband who is competing in the Clipper round the world race so they were berthed in the marina. That was my reason for selecting Waterfront village as it's right next to the marina. Security and safety were also at the top of my list and the whole complex was very secure and safe. Staff friendly and helpful too. Apartments were lovely and very comfortable and spacious - home from home. Would recommend and will return

The ability to walk to the Waterfront was fantastic. It is in a beautiful location with Table Mountain in the background. Very good security, beautifully appointed rooms. We had a wonderful time. The website states that the pool and gym is available for guests, which it is, but at an additional charge.

Its in a prime location but is secluded enough to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings. I didn't appreciate the canal bus going round, it was an invasion of privacy which was the main reason I had chosen the Waterfront. For example I was eating my breakfast one morning on the balcony and was then being watched by a group of people !!! not sure who was shocked most as I was not completely dressed.

I chose this accomoation for its location as my husband is competing in a round the world yacht race and I was visiting him whilst they stopped over in Cape Town - the accomoation was close to where the yachts were moored for a week and the facilities were ideal for my husband to chill out and get all his kit ready for the next leg of his journey - it too was very close to all the waterfront restraunts and shopping which was ideal - felt very safe to walk around as there were a lot of secutiry - would highly recommend if staying in cape town

It is very convienantly situated. Security if very good. The check in process is so tiring. It took me 45 - 60- mintues to check in. First you need to go to reception to book in. Then you must drive and park at security to get your card activated. Then you need to get back into your car and drive to your place of stay. It is very time consuming and certainly not very pleasant if you need to be somewhere soon and have limited time to check into a hotel.
