Whale Away Guest House    

Perfect location overlooking the sea at Hermanus. It was a 10 minute walk along the cliff path or down the main street to the shops and restaurants. A very comfortable room and a delightful hostess completed the package. Great value for money.

Hermanus is a wonderfull town wiyh a good golf course

The house is on the Main Rd the traffic noise is terrible 24/7 Friends stayed in a better location for a much better price

Outstanding bathroom in the front room where we stayed and excellent lighting.

Breakfast could be from 8.00 A.M. and there should be a variety of breads/rolls. I think there should be burglar bars on the windows in the front rooms.

Spacious room, Rain shower absolutely, which is my weak point:) Clean, Comfortobale bed, Friendly respectibel and helpfull people They sit with us to make a plan for the rest of our journey for 1 hour and it is from the heart...

The location was handy for the town and near the sea. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Ester; the manager was friendly and helpful.

A very small guest house which appeared to be purpose built. It was designed for maximum comfort. Very close to a range of restaurants. We were welcomed and given information about the area. Breakfast included was very good.

Breakfast times were a little late (9 - 10). Needed very precise pre ordering the night before.

Very friendly manager (Hestor). Large room with balcony and similar lounge area. Although on a fairly busy road this was not too noisy and there was a nice view of the sea in the distance. Short walk to restaurants. Good parking.

Problematic water facilities!

The guest house was well situated near a lovely pathway along the coast. It was also close to town and restaurants. Hester, the Manager and her staff were very pleasant and helpfull. The guest house was beautifully furnished and very clean.

Very comfortable room and beds. Breakfast was excellent. Slightly out of town but that was a good thing. Gated so cars safe at night.

There was a hairdryer in the room but no plug that fit? Would have liked a bathroom with a door.

Very well maintained and spacious room. Short walk along ther coastal path to the town, Coco's is a bar/restaurant that is well worth a visit. It has lovely views and friendly staff. Breakfast was very good and staff very pleasant.

Some of the rooms facing the sea were not as private as you might wish with other residents passing in front of your room and giving you a little shock if your blinds are open.
