The room is wonderfully spacious and the view is outstanding.
As already mentioned to the hotel, it is pity that they are associated with the Spa as our experience was terrible and left us with a sour memory to our stay.
location room was luxurious
was promised a remote for tv never materialised .slow service at the restaurant shotage of towels for my children next door . told to use the gown for drying purposes
the cooperation between the staff at the reception and eagle tours could be better.
The personalised staff service to make our anniversary special.
The noisy air conditioning and the bicyclist that decided to pee in front of our porch.
Beautiful views, great staff and location and wine! Definitely worth a stay!
Love the location
No much evening activities
The view is great, the restaurant good and this will definitely be my first choice in accommodation.
We enjoyed the wine and wine tasting. The lady running the wine tour was very knowledgeable. The staff were VERY friendly and we really enjoyed them in the restaurant. The place is located in a beautiful place and is very relaxing. We loved the Cheese platter and complimentary wine as part of our evening turn down :)
Unfortunately our heater didnt work very well in our room and we had a broken window in our room, so we were quite cold in the middle of winter. This was the only big hassle with our stay, but was a little off putting.
Everything I was exposed to.
No room service. This important if you are working on business matters after hours.
restaurant too far
The room is spacious and very nice
Bath tub too small for two people.
the room is beautiful. the beauty products were lovely too
i didnt like that the receptionist looked cold and uncomforable and wasnt nicely dressed. i didnt like that i didnt know how to switch off the aircon in the room
Winetasting Restaurant Location
Restaurant ambience is great. Views from the honeymoon suite are fantastic. Spa is quite good
Spa needs some work to make it really good - small details
Service, Restaurant and staff were excellent.
TV and kettle in room not working.
Thought the restaurant menu could have been more adventurous.
The views. Facilities, room, everything!
TV - would have liked a flat screen and that it should face the bed.
View on top of all the other aspects is Superb
I think this hotel is misrepresented on Booking.com The description of the country inn bedrooms led me to believe it would be bedrooms in a hotel where you enter a lobby area. When we arrived it looked like motel rooms. Upon booking I had asked for an earlier check-in time and a double bed in the room as opposed to 2 twin beds. I phoned a day ahead to confirm my requests and was assured the room would be ready for us upon our earlier arrival. Upon arrival, I was told that check-in was actually only at 2p.m. When I then explained that I had phoned the day before, the staff fluttered around a bit and produced a room key. We arrived at the room to find 2 twin beds. The room smelled like smoke and was none too clean. The furnishings are quite old. The service is fair, but not 4star. You get a view of Kuilsriver from your patio. During the night it is a sea of lights but during the day it turns into a severely industrial-looking area. I had family staying in one of the 3-bedroomed cottages. 4 people of which one married couple and their adult sons. They arrived late the night and found that the two male adults had to share a room as the third bedroom was locked. Upon enquiry the next morning they were told that the rates quoted for the cottage was not for the unit as they believed but on a pps basis and that they would have to pay extra to use the extra bedroom. Breakfast proved to be disappointing as well. Buffet breakfast with an array of cereals, pastries and fruit that looked good. The cold meats and cheeses looked stale and was not replenished as more people served themselves breakfast. The cooked breakfast was also served as buffet and ran out at 8:15am. There was a crowd in the buffet room waiting for more eggs, sausages, bacon etc. When a waiter finally appeared he had one cereal plate full of scrambled egg and then disappeared to get more breakfast items. You couldn't dish up a complete hot breakfast for yourself. Shocking and woefully inadequate.
Setting is beautiful, Staff helpful. Breakfast was good.
Most certainly not value for money! We booked the honeymoon suite just because there was an online special for a couple of hundred rand more than a standard room. (I have been married for 15 years). Thank goodness I was not a bride! The room is an ordinary hotel room, gloomy, absolutely nothing special, it is dated and the tv is as old as the hotel. The bathroom can do with an update, maybe a jacuzzi bath, the patio could be more private with maybe an outdoor shower. It really was a huge disappointed and most certainly not worth r1780 for the night.
the ambience was wonderful
Room was fantastic, spacious and the setting with the vineyard right in front of the patio was unbeatable.
Unfortunately we stayed there several times over the past few years and the standard has dropped used to be 4 star now 3 in my view. Dead flys on window sills, no water pressure, toilet needed fixing, broken hot milk dispenser , waitrons just stood Around chatting very slow service - used to be a great place now mediocre
Great location and staff was very friendly and helpful.
Complimentary bottle of wine in the room was a white wine. When I asked if it could be swopped for a bottle of red, the answer was no. I do not drink white wine and really think that Zevenwacht should at least give people a choice.
