Location is fantastic between Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol! Within walking distance to many restaurants, tourist attractions and metro. Staff is courteous and helpful. Our room had a small balcony that looked onto a side street - quite charming. We had to go down several steps after getting out of the elevator to reach our room. With three children and six suitcases, this proved to be inconvenient. |

The hotel's location, a stone's throw away from Plaza Mayor and Puerto del Sol, is excellent. The decor has been renovated and combines old and new, generally well. Having free acess to a lap top and internet in the room was very useful. The power shower was very welcome. Although promising to be "high tech" some of the decor & facilities lacked functionality. Lighting in the corridors was with leds...but so dark and "atmospheric" that one felt insecure. In the room, a multitude of switches had to be used in order to figure out how to switch on/off which light. The carpeted floor and the decorative pillows were a little tacky. The bathroom and closet, while looking "high tech" sacrificed a lot in pure functionality / finishing. On the morning we checked out (check out time 12h) the electronic key lost its function and it took me 3 trips up and down 4 flites of stairs to reception and back, before someone had to come and "unfreeze" the lock so that we could get back in and finish packing. |

Location. Lap top and wifi in room. Room too small. No functioning AC/Heat. Dirty carpet. Bathroom was nice even though it was essentially a glass box in the room. The room overall was dingy. |

The staff were excellent. Room was more than big enough with a laptop and free internet. Decor was modern and it's in a great location right next to Plaza Mayor. We were on the first floor with workmen working down below so it was slightly noisy. |

I loved the laptop provided in the rooms, the reception staff were efficient and had a good understanding of english. I was given written instructions for public transport to Guadalajara from reception and they proved very useful. On our last evening at the hotel I had checked in online for my flight the next day and Hugo on reception was very helpful when it came to printing my boarding cards. The hotel states that it has a bar but this is not true. Our shower leaked very badly and it had already damaged the woodwork in the room so presumably it is a constant problem. |

We had a fantastic stay. Location, balconies, shower size, friendly staff were highlights. The shower door did not seal so water went everywhere. |

We highly appreciated the hotel location : absolutely perfect to visit the city,just in the heart of Madrid, but in a quiet "calle". Should we go back to Madrid, we'd surely choose this hotel again. |

Lovely building in a perfect location for exploring Madrid on foot. Hotel staff were very professional and helpful. The interior is classy and well done. We booked a triple and when we arrived we were told that apparently as our booking was being made and not on record yet, the room was booked by someone else. They then put us up in two rooms which were connected by a hallway door (for the same price we booked for the triple). This was fine with us and it worked out very well. Interesting rooms and a pleasant change from the run of the mill hotel room. Not a complaint really - just a comment ... We parked in the garage below the plaza and for which the hotel staff gave us directions which worked fine. The description on the website said that parking is 27 euro which it was; however, the hotel lists as an amenity (found on something that was in the room after checking in) that the garage gives a discount but you have to park in a particular section of the garage and since we didn't know about it until days later, we weren't eligible for the disount. So, if you are driving and when you first park in the garage, seek out the attendant to find out where to park to receive the discount. |

Great location of the hotel, directly at Plaza Mayor and only a few steps away from Sol. Can be reached easily by metro. Beautiful modern design hotel, even with a laptop and free internet in the room. Spacious room. Nice breakfast buffet. Breakfast was only available from 7:30 in the morning. Blanket was too thin the first night but got more blankets the other nights. |

The hotel could not have been in a more ideal location. Easy walking distance to the palace, the Prado, and just a stone's throw to the Plaza Mayor. It was perfect. |

It's position in the centre of the city was excellent for visiting sites I would not rate this as 4 star the rooms were small, only 1 chair so to relax one had to sit on the bed, shower leaked, electrical socket falling off wall and restaurant only open for breakfast. |

The Hotel was nicely decorated, the rooms at a good size and confortable, the use of the Computer in the room is an excellet idea, as well as the access to the internet for free with my laptop. The breakfast was nice and had a good selection. The Staff very firendly and well manered. The Hotel good located. In the Bathroom there was no hanger to put up your PJ as Iam used to do, well this is just a comment and not a must. |

The laptop with free internet was really useful. The location is wonderful. I soon got used to the smallness of the room and found it to be quite cosy after a while. Breakfast would be better with proper coffee instead of those machines which so many hotels go for these days. |

Great position, elegant building playfully refurbished, pleasant staff and excellent computer/internet facilities. Nice touch of free coffee / juice / water in the reception from 12h to 22h. Our room had two balconies overlooking the street but we were able to sleep fine (no shutters but double glazing). Perhaps the bathroom occupied a disordinate amount of space in relation to the room - I'd have made it a good deal smaller. |
