Location - connectivity with public transport. WiFi coverage is poor, on the top floor there's no signal of hotel's WLAN. Price is very high for a 2-star hotel, but I guess it's Barcelona... |

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marvi. Staff was polite and kind, and one gentleman in particular spoke English fluently, which made our check-in very easy. The room we got was exactly what we requested (on one of the top floors, with street view), quite spacious, light and very clean. The location was amazing, very close to all the most interesting places and shops, therefore we didn't need to use public transport and we walked everywhere. A great place for a city break on a budget. Although we were expecting it to be quite noisy (Hotel Marvi is situated at a busy street), it was quite difficult to sleep at night because of the street noise. I believe that the interior rooms must be much quieter. Another thing was breakfast, not very rich one - just a croissant, toast and preserves plus tea/coffee. Although this is a budget hotel, we did expect a bit more. However neither of these two things were able to spoil our weekend and the good impression of the hotel. |

The hotel has an excellant location near to the subway system and the tourists attractions. The staff were good, they did not bother us once which is important in a hotel! The room was good and clean. It was basically the exact same as shown in their photos which was good. |

It's near Lambras and its location was good to tour the city. It was very clean. I think it was excellent, considering the price in particular. Breakfast is poor. And I had a short argument with a receptionist on conditions of stay there. On my booking, one of the conditions was that a kid under 12 may be given an extra bed free of charge. But on my arrival with my wife and 11 year old daughter, he said to me, you booked a double bed room and you have to pay more if you want an extra bed in the room. He was at first pesistent. But as I repeated to protest, showing him a printout containing the conditions, he finally agreed to the conditions. I did not pay more and was provided an extra bed as stipulated in the conditions. But I got very upset at the incident at that time. Except for the incident, the hotel's staff was kind and everything was OK. |

Large, very comfortable room. Very clean. Excellent location and friendly, helpful staff. Free WiFi. Would be good to have a mini fridge and a tea/coffee making facility. |

Location of the hotel is fantastic: nearby Pl. Universita, where aerobus stops, and there is metro station few steps away. It is five minutes walk to Pl. Catalunya and La Rambla. Cleaners did not clean floor in our room for 7 days. |

The staff was very helpful and the location was great for the pupose of sightseeing. The A/C was not inefficient, and breakfast was less than "Continental" |

It was helpful to read travellers comments first. My stay was really good, i had a quiet room, travel cot for my baby like new one with its bedclothes, tv, complete bathroom with bath, good air conditioner and hotel very well located. Breakfast experience was good enough in compare with comments I read before my trip. It is like a buffet with normal coffee (not Nescafe), milk, toastes, tetrabrik orange juice and tea. On your sit you have 1 croissant, as well. Enough to start your day and you can bring your own cereals if you prefer something different if you have a long stay. I knew there was not fridge or minibar in the room but I could by water (only water) at the reception at anytime. It was very useful to take with me a small travel kettle to prepare bottles at night, others could prepare coffee or tea, as advice. |

Clean, quiet room (internal), decent clean bathroom and good air conditioning. Renovated some time in the last 5 years so relatively modern. No complaints really. Staff are not very helpful, but this is is unfortunately usual for Barcelona, seemingly! |

One of the staff members was really nice and the 24/7 reception comes in handy when you want to go out. Location's absolutely amazing for Barcelona and quite a comfy room. Quite basic two star hotel, not good for value for money because pretty expensive. Good for if you want to relax in good commodities. One staff member was off putting because he would yawn, put his head in hands etc in front of us! |

Room facing away from plaza was quiet at night. Breakfast was small but sufficient. Desk clerk (young guy) was really helpful and recommended a fabulous restaurant that was the highlight of our stay in Barcelona. The bathrooms are nicer than most and very, very clean. Marvi has one of the best locations in Barcelona and a fair nightly rate in an expensive city. The doors are thin, so you hear everything that happens in the hallway and the maids were very loud during the siesta... Talking loudly to one another which made it impossible to rest. The coffee that comes with the continental breakfast could be improved upon... I think it is just Nescafe that they heat in a carafe. Really... My complaints are minor. I would recommend Marvi. It was my second time staying there and I have recommended it to others who have stayed there and enjoyed it. |

Better than some 3* hotels. Things in room in good state. Very clean. Good-smelling soap. Spacious double room. Superb hairdryer. Too much noise from the lift and from the street. Terrible breakfast (no fresh bread!). |

Świetna lokalizacja, bardzo miła obsługa w recepcji, bardzo czysto, serwis sprzątający pokoje szanuje prawo gości do odpoczynku. Pokój z widokiem na pl. Uniwersytecki - dość głośno od ulicy, ale za to ładny widok. |
