The hotel was nice, and the service was great except for the last minute. The concierge charged us and he only wanted cash and didn't provide us a receipt, which was shady. Also, he booked us a taxi to the airport that charged us 45EU instead of the 25-30 that was advised. If you go be aware.

THere was a horrible odor in the room that did not go away even after speaking to the concierge. We didn't switch rooms since we had one night left, but it wasn't offered to us regardless. The breakfast was not great (bread was old) and the lady taken care of it seem to defend it as if she didn't want you to eat much.

Very central and convenient location, at the same time not the nicest of areas, but you always have to sacrifice something :-)

No computer with the internet facilities in the public places, just free wi fi in the breakfast area, that is not bad as well, though could be improved.

The hotel is accessible to everything i.e. shops, major tourist spots,restaurant, trains. We did a lot of walking and didnt have to take bus or trains all the time.

I guess the graffitis in each neighboring stores. The garages when closed are full of graffittis. it would have been nice if the people show their artistice abilities on the garage doors. The hotel is fine .

Wonderful location close to Plaza del Sol and in the very centre of everything: from the hotel it is possible to reach all the main monuments and places by walk. Also the subway is within walking, but we didn't need it a lot. Breakfast is 5 euros, but there are better solution outside the hotel (e.g. the pasteleria Malloquina in Plaza del Sol). Finally the room was clean and the bathroom quite new.

Noises, noises, noises. We had asked for a silent room not facing the main street (calle Mantera) and we were given an internal room. Nevertheless it was very noisy: we could listen to the lift's roar and to the steps of other people. It is not the right hotel you can use to rest. Anyway you can stand it if you're very tired after visiting the city and/or living the movida, like us. Furthermore, we were a couple and we found in rooms two single beds joined together, what was not so confortable.

The location was amazing - right off Plaza del Sol, 2 minutes from the metro, shops, bars, restaurants etc. The room was standard - not luxurious but comfortable and everything worked, including a really good shower.

The gentleman who manned the reception desk during the daytime was exceptional - the most helpful member of hotel staff I have ever encountered. The hotel is very good value for money, centrally located being only minutes walk from 2 metro stations, clean and functional.

The hotel is very central so it can be noisy while this did not bother us (we expect that as a trade off for a central location) this may bother some travellers.

Good location and quiet enough (although the walls are thin so if you have a noisy neighbour it would be bad). Windows opened out to a shaft so not a great deal of light. Would recommend it for a city break if you don't plan to stay in the room much.
