Værelse var af passende størrelse og var positiv overrasket over renligheden. Badet var også godt.

Man skal helst bede om et værelse væk fra gaden ud til indgangen, da der kan herske lidt nattelarm.

Room was very basic,no frill but was comfortable and clean. After sight-seeing all day it was pleasant to return to and get a good nights sleep.

Very strong odor coming from commode area like sewer gas but plumbing was old and needed upgrade.

Probably one of the best price-quality hotel in the center of Madrid

Excellent location

Rooms at front of hotel were pretty noisy at night. You certainly had to sleep with the windows shut

The location was awesome. The price was very affordable and our rooms had balconies right on the street.

Watch out for room 208. The was a big crack at the top of the door and was very flimsy. Igor tried to get me to break the door down to show how flimsy it was. We changed to room 206 and the shower was missing one of the doors so the floor would get all wet.

Great location for the Puerto de Sol area.

The hotel reception staff on arrival were very unfriendly even though my daughter spoke fluent Spanish.They were extremely unwelcoming

It was clean, comfortable but mostly it's in an excellent position for shopping, museums, galleries, etc.

Not really. There is plenty of noise at night in this section of Madrid, but that is hardly the hotel's fault.

Fantastic location. Relatively cheap parking.

I loved the location right by Gran Via and Puerto del Sol. The fact that Virginia Woolfe had stayed there was an attraction. That the hotel was small and old was attractive too. The area was crowded and safe. I was travelling alone and arriving late at night.

The room was tiny! Anyone larger than myself would have had a hard time using the toilet in the minute ( though reasonably well equipped) bathroom. Anyone claustraphobic would have run out of this crowded windowless space. Well, there were windows but they were completely shuttered off.

Good location and reasonable cost to stay. Big room.

Too hot in hotel room due to a lack of air conditioning. Used two fans but it was still too hot in the hotel room.

We stayed there twice and both rooms were large with plenty of space to hang clothes etc. If you want a/c, you should ask, otherwise there is only a fan in the room. The bathroom facilities were excellent if narrow. The breakfast room was generous (cost not included in room price). Location was perfect for the Prado and other tourist places within walking distance.

Staff do not speak English but we managed.
