Ihanan vanhanaikaisella tavalla kaunis ja arvokkaan oloinen hotelli. Vaikka puhumme huonosti englantia,asiat hoituivat muutamalla sanalla ja lauseella,siitä kiitos.Matkustamme muutaman kerran vuodessa,joten annamme paljon arvoa hotellin viihtyisyydelle. Mielestäni kovat vuoteet,koska nukun kyljelläni,se vähän häiritsi.Miestäni asia ei häirinnyt. |

Pienehkö hotelli erittäin rauhallisella paikalla, mutta kuitenkin keskustan tuntumassa. Mukava puutarha-sisäpiha, missä hyvän sään salliessa voi nauttia aamiaista. Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta, etenkin baarissa. |

It's behind the Archeological Museum and National Library of Madrid. Near to the Colón metro station, in a silent street close to many very good restaurants. It has excellent connections to everywhere, and just a few minutes walk from the Parque del Retiro green park with the botanical garden called Real Jardin Botánico. Our room had few sunshine on mornings, but was fair after 11.00 am. |

The hotel's location in the heart of Salamanca is its strongest asset. Jardin de Recoletos is within a short walk to the Retiro, numerous fine museums and galleries, and a great number of restaurants and bars. Despite its central location, we also enjoyed the relative tranquility that the hotel enjoys, given that our room looked out over the hotel's garden. Also, our room was quite large. The value for money was lacking. This hotel, while full of potential, is in need of some refinishing to bring it up to speed with today's new crop of hotels. Our room was dowdy and in need of a makeover. Also, the breakfast buffet was rather limited in the types of foods offered (no eggs!), and suffering in quality compared to some of the other Iberian hotels where we have been patrons. The most unfortunate aspect of our stay, however, was the rudeness its staff and petty policies concerning children. During our first morning at Jardin de Recoletos, we were treated to a bill demanding €25 for our 5-year-old and not-yet-2-year-old to join us for breakfast. Thus, a warning to all families of young children: this is not your hotel! |

Friendly staffs, professional service & good breakfast. Hotel is ideally located within walking distance to major sightseeing spots in the city, bus connection to airport, if not using subway from station also within few blocks reach from the hotel. You can also find supermarkets within few blocks distance. |

big rooms. great buffet breakfast. doesnt save on the little things, the internal garden is nice. location right behind retiro park rooms. are not noisy.double glazing in windows=> quiet. good food all around. room was very cold when we arrived but this was fixed. |

THe hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful after a day out we enjoyed coming back to the hotel. We also liked the fact that the bar/restuarant seemed popular with local residents not just hotel guests. Also, we upgraded our room, this proved to be a good idea as the room was very spacious with a sitting area |

Great breakfast (especially delicious deserts)!!!! Helpfull and friendly staff, big rooms, very quiet place - we were sleeping with wide open balcony and the only thing I've heard in the morning were birds :)... All main objects are reachable by foot from this hotel (Puerto de Sol - 15min; Palacio Real - 25min; Museo de Prado - 10min; Retiro park - 5min) , but if You prefer to stay in the very heart of old town (with crowds of people) I would recommend to pick the hotel which is closer to Puerto de Sol. For the first time it was a bit hard to find a hotel - even local people hadn't known the name of the street where the hotel is located . |

A splendid hotel in a 'quiet' area in the centre. We had a spacious and comfortable non-smoking room with balcony and garden view. The bathroom is complete and OK, but a bit small in relation to the room. The breakfast was various and tasty. The staff was friendly and helpfull. We had a very pleasant stay (3 nights) and we recommend this hotel. The matrass of the (kingsize) bed was good but rather hard and the rooms have thin walls (this is in almost all hotels in Madrid). |
