Set just to the south of the city’s historic heart, Arganzuela is the site of impressive attractions such as the Planetarium and the National Science and Technology Museum. It lies beside the River Manzanares and much of it is set on a hillside, offering views to the south of Madrid and beyond.
One of the district’s most popular attractions is the famous Rastro flea market, selling a wide range of objects every Sunday morning.
For football fans, there is also the Vicente Calderón stadium – home to Atlético Madrid.
