This is a well run centrally located hotel with a price that cant be matched!Rooms are smallish but with all mod cons so cant complain1 The hotel staff could be more helpful and friendly but they were q efficient. |

Over the years I have stayed at 4 other hotels in Santiago and finally have found one I like! The A Tafona could easily be rated more sars..They restored an old stone building with all the modern conveniences-air conditioning, free internet connection, great breakfast, etc.I had room 204 in the back, on the top floor with a big balcony. |

Good situation for the city. Staff helpful (gave us breakfast extra as we had to leave v.early!). A bit noisy at times - main road. Squeaky floorboards! |

Good location, nice interior design. No carpets on the floor which increased the noise. |

Great location, nice room, comfortable bed, excellent shower!!! Very stylish hotel with facilities (i.e. restaurant and bar) I would not have expected from a two star hotel. Room got quite warm, even with aircon on! Was a little bit noisy (could hear people coming and going in passageway outside) but I am an extremely light sleeper so probably wouldn't bother majority of people. |

Very smart interiors (admire contemporary inn concept); comfortable room (firm bed, soft bedlinen); free and reliable internet access throughout hotel; optimum location at edge of old town. Very slow service at hotel restaurant during Sunday lunch, but the waitress was lovely and worked very hard. |

The rooms are beautiful and well designed - as is the entire hotel. Also, the hotel is only minutes from the town centre of Santiago and offers a great location for exploring the city. In addition, the buffet breakfast is really nice. The evening menu for half-board guests is quite "simple" (E.G. offering scrambled eggs and a dry chicken breast with plain rice...). The regular restaurant menu looks a lot better and it's a shame that half board guests seem to be "second class". Also, the staff isn't very attentive to the guests' needs but look stressed and overworked. |

Its been recently modernised, very modern decor but full of character, the bathroom was absolutely gorgeous, modern but with an original stone wall beside the bathtub. I was very impressed!!! Lovely and confortable matrimonial bed, not 2 single beds put together like in other hotels... |
