AC Alicante is just outside of the city centre about a 20 minute walk (helps keep your weight down). The food is really good and the prices are about the same as the city restaurants, although it would have been good to see a variation from frozen chips. The staff speak quite good English and seem to try harder if you try to speak some Spanish. Frozen chips. The pool was freezing, would be loads better if it were heated. |

The rooftop pool and bar. The contemporary modern style. The quality of the furnishings. The view from the windows was dissapointing, either looking over wasteland or a block of residential apartments. You could see the sea but had to look over the industrial area of the port first! |

The hotel had very comfortable rooms and particularly comfortable beds. When we went to our room, we opened the curtain and looked out the window. All we could see was a wall directly in front of us.It was a terrible view and the room was very dark. We went to reception and asked if we could get a room that didn't look out onto a wall. The receptionist changed us to a room on the 6th floor that looked out to the see.We were very pleased with the new room and the staff member changed our room quickly and without fuss. The location of the hotel was not good. The description is a little misleading- it is on the sea front but set back by a busy road and does not look out onto the beach but onto an industrial wasteland and dock side area. There were two prostitutes near the hotel when we walked out for dinner at 10.30 pm. Also, the pool area is unattended- we went to go for a swim but there were approximately ten men drinking bottles of vodka and beer and shouting very loudly. We did not stay at the pool because we did not feel comfortable. |

Nice pool, spa and fitness room Shortage of sunbeds, no staff at the poolside cafe/bar. Looks out onto docks and derelict port area. Prostitutes trading outside front door each night. |

The free minibar, the desing of the hotel, the swimming pool and the relax room It is a bit far from the city centre so if you don't have a car it could be not so easy to reach it (or you need to take a 20 minute walk) |

The staff were helpful and efficient. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean with good facilities like the soft drink mini bar provided for free. The pool area was very crowded and the pool was small, so we were disinclined to use those facilities. |

The hotel was clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. It had a small pool but it done the job. Having a free Mini Bar of soft drinks is a fantastic idea. I would stay here again. I wouldnt like to walk around the area at night time but taxis are cheap and the hotel can get you one in minutes. |

very good hotel. it was a late booking so location wasn't our 1st pririty, but hotel was a little far from centre of resort [ 25-30 min walk ] to act as a holiday hotel ( felt more like a business hotel too) but it was a good hotel and well run. On plus side being futher from the beach did mean we were closer to main shipping area [5-10 mins]. Wi-fi was provided in reception area, but a paypoint web access would have been useful for those not carrying PCs. Pool area is very small, and not really suitbale for size of hotel to be highlighted as a feature. . . I think there is a local 'lady of the night' operating less than 100 yrds from the main door of the hotel, she was there a few evenings as we passed - - which gives a bad impression of the hotel and area. |
