Hotel Avenida

Pleasant and helpful English-speaking staff at reception. Good breakfast spread. Bit out of the way from centre and a walk for evening meal but nearest hotel down the hill very good value. Plenty of parking on site.

Take care if arriving by car. Best drive past entrance which is on a sharp blind corner and turn around 100 metres up round so can enter on way down the hill.

Near the beach. It is a 15-20 walk to the beach. The hotel is located on a hill, but it is not as bad as it sounds (you can also take the bus if you don't feel like walking). Parking is Free.Breakfast included.

Have better directions on how to get to the hotel.

too noisy -no insulation between rooms-plumbing noisy as not insulated - you could hear people taking a shower as though you were in there with them. We weere moved to another room which had no adjacent rooms but still heard the plumbing for the floors above and below.

Staff accomodating and helpful. Big and Clean rooms. views from room, good car parking, very good breakfast, included. only heating at room. good location with car.

Conveniently just outside the main town. Comfortable hotel and ideal for a weekend break.

Although a car is not vital it certainly helps. No bar.

Everything was completely satisfactory. Our room had a beautiful vantage point overlooking the city of San Sebastian.

The view, free parking onsite, free wi-fi internet and breakfast included.

The room was ok, but it needed some renovation. Another problem was the extremely loud noise we could hear if someone turned on the shower in the nearby rooms.

Definitely 3+ stars. Very spacious room. Free parking and internet.

A little confusement can we sleep 2adults+2children in a tripple room, although we wanted 3beds only.

The views and the region

A fair walk from the centre of town, could have offered bicycles to rent. No internet connectivity either.

Even though off the beaten path a bit, bus connection and a reasonable walk got us to the main part of town fairly easily.

Staff were extremely accomodating and helpful, breakfast was included and was good value for money., Only a few minutes walk from Ondaretta beach which is the nicer beach. The Hotel was quiet in the evenings which is a major plus.

The Hotel had no bar /restaurant facilities and as it was located just off a main road, with no other restaurants in close proximity, it was something that would be welcome, while the hotel and staff were nice it was a little isolated from the centre of town, and old town was a 30 minute walk which I did not mind, but not every night, so would be an unsuitable option for some travellers.
