Just in front of the cathedral. Easy access to the main troulist places. The front staff was very nice. Room was big enough and clean. Quiet at night. The breakfast was expensive and not many cafes were open in the early morning, but toward the station, in the city center, there were many. |

Good location and nice internal patio, Breakfast too expensive and too much cigarette smoke in the internal patio. |

The location of the hotel is perfect. It's next to the cathedral, one of the most important monuments of Avila. The hotel is an impressive building, with an amazing patio. While the patio is beautiful, my room was just of an average quality. It's not good value for money. Breakfast is extremely expensive (13 euros). |

Great location. Very nicely decorated. The courtyard in the center of the hotel is really amazing. Nicer than a Parador. |

We were touring in Central Spain and this was on of our stops. The hotel is fantastically central to all the tourist attractions, clean, comfortable and has been restored superbly. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. The beds were a bit hard. |

Fantastic location right inside the city walls. Lovely ground floor courtyard clearly showing the bones of the original palace. Comfortable rooms in a French provincial style. Very quiet because the rooms faced an internal lane way A room with an external view over the cathedral square would have been more interesting |

It was a beautiful hotel - easy to find, absolutely gorgeous patio area converted to a bar /cafe and very central to Avila. Extremely characterful hotel and well placed for touring Avila and the Sierra Los Gredos. Comfortable size room, bed and bathroom. The room was extremely hot throughout the night [ as was the whole hotel] even though it was only early June. The air conditioning didn't seem to do anything. Most of the rooms seem to be without any interesting views. There were only 2 channels in English on the tv and we couldn't get any sound on cnn. |

Not a lot. The best thing was the charming waitress at breakfast. She was adorable. The carpet was dirty, it was the 1st of June and the aircon was not yet usable, the check-in girl was indifferent and I thought the entrance was possibly the worst distruction of an historic building I have ever seen. Sheer ugliness. I came away from this experience with no opinion at all. |

The building is beautiful and the food was quite good front desk staff were not all that friendly or accommodating. The carpet in my room was in pretty bad shape and not at all clean. They would not move me. Other than that, a good hotel. |

Situated in the centre of a wonderful, medieval Spanish town. Breakfasts were excellent. Lounge area was delightful. As someone concerned with the environment I found the bathroom packages (disposable combs, packaged soap (unopenable) rather unnecessary. |

Beautiful hotel and nice room. Very well-located just inside the city walls. Garage parking on-site extremely helpful, since there is little street parking inside the walls. The staff was a bit cold. They seemed to get annoyed at us for asking questions. We were also told by one staff member that it was OK to leave the car in the garage for an extra hour past checkout and then another staff member said that we couldn't. The garage was essentially empty from checkout, so I'm not sure why it was a problem. |

Great location. Secure parking. Poor internet coverage. Double bed turned out to be 2 singles pushed together with a double duvet over the top. Ratty old tv that was badly tuned. |

Located beside Ávila’s cathedral, this Medieval-style hotel is housed in a former palace dating from the 14th century, and forms part of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. |
The lovely El Rastro Hotel has an ideal location within the city’s ancient walls. It is close to the Rastro Arch and the birth house of Santa Teresa with its museum. |
Situated in the heart of Ávila, the hotel lies in the medieval centre, with its enchanting narrow streets, cathedral and the Plaza de Santa Teresa. |
This hotel is just 5 minutes from Ávila’s old town, a short walk from the train and bus stations. |
