It was very friendly, the room was clean and the food very reasonable priced. The hotel was able to offer many good suggestions on where to go and offerred discounts to the main tourist attractions. |

Their breakfast has a very good buffett. The 13.50 euro rate per person was cut to 6.50 euro per person when we agreed to take breakfast daily during our 5 day stay. At this price it's a very good value. |

The Astoria is in a great location, it is clean, the staff are helpful, the room I had was superb, the pool on the roof is tiny but the roof area itself was great, perfect for a book and some afternoon sunshine. I didn't eat or drink in the hotel so I can't comment on that. The gym! The hotel's website states it has a fitness centre. This was 2 exercise bikes that looked about 20 years old, and a stepper that was broken. Awful. |

Location excellent, breakfast good, lobby and common areas very nice. Terrace small but pleasant. The hotel has a magnificent lobby and common areas - but the rooms are not all renovated and so its a bit of a false facade. Our first night we were given a terrible attic room which was awful and pokey - more like a 1 or low 2 star. We asked to change for the second night and after a bit of argument with front desk they did. Second night was a nice renovated room, like being in a totally different hotel. They should not advertise the first room type (on the top floor) as the similar standard room to the others - it needs to be either totally renovated, or advertised as a cheaper room or used as a cleaning storage/broom closet. It really ruined the whole feel of being in the hotel. |

Very clean, helpful staff, rather quiet, walking distance from city highlights, nice coffee shops for breakfast next door The only window was facing a peer, so no fresh air was available. Breakfast for 13 Euros per-person is way too expensive. |

Astoria was placed not so far from the Plaza de Catalunya. With the bus it needs 5-10 minutes to go there. On the Diagonal Avenue there was Mc Donalds if u were hungry at night :) One thing I didn't like was room's window, which was watching the little closed square of hotel's walls with other rooms' windows.. |

It's a very nice hotel, just outside of the very heavy tourist areas. Beautiful neighborhood, quiet area at night (for Barcelona). |

We had a pleasant stay, with all the facilities we needed. Having a small pool and AC in the room was perfect during summer days in Barcelona. The rooms need to be a little refreshed. |

Great terras on the roof with tiny pool, big enough, good chairs and places to sit. Staff at reception willing to make u sattisfied; they changed my room for a better one without extra having to pay extra for it. Nice central location. Very nice entree; beautifull hall, stairs, places to sit near the reception. They advert with pics of only the very best rooms. In real it can be an old fashioned room, darker, tiny bureau without proper light and hidden in a wall or corridor. Breakfast could be better; like possibility to toast ur bread, but if u ask for an ommelett, they d make it for u, bit sturdy crew there. |

Close to two Bus Turistic bus stops. Shopping close by (not that we did any) Taxis readily available. Good mix of shops just across the road - fruit, grocers, cake, cheeses. Two Tapas bars in square right next door. Quiet location. Pool on 8th floor (though v.small) was ideal for cooling the limbs after a hard day's sightseeing! Coffee/tea making facilities would have been nice. |

The hotel itself looks luxurious. Our hotel room was very big with a separate living room and spacious bathroom. It was also convenient to have free internet available (though only one computer). We didn't get a chance to enjoy the rooftop pool and patio due to the weather. The hotel has a great location. It's in a shopping district and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. We complained about our tv remote not working three times, but the problem was never resolved. The window in our hotel room didn't have an open view. It faced other sides of the hotel walls and so we were never able to see what the weather was like. There was also no alarm clock or any clock in the room so we never knew what time it was. I would request a room with a street view. |

The design, the staff, and the big tub in the bathroom :) Breakfast a little too pricey if not included in your room rate. was not worth 13 euros for some juice and ham. |
