We had a wonderful corner room with balcony looking over the city. It was convenient to everything-room and bath were excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. |

room decor was nice , location was very good and we were allowed to check in earlier. glass in minibar was dirty and make up mirror in bathroom had fingerprints on from previous residents |

The staff was helpful in recommendations for dinner and helping us find places we asked about. It would have been nice if breakfast was included in the price of the hotel. |

Attentive, friendly staff. Beautiful furnishings. Excellent location in Barcelona. Internet access was costly and confusing, had to have three different procedures and buy extra time to print airline boarding passes. Also, no washcloths, those small things that Americans use to clean themselves and their ears in the shower. |

Very helpful staff, always gave us information w/ cordiality. Big room (a bit dark, but ok), bed and bathroom although the bathtub wasn't clean enough to be used (as a tub). Great location in the heart of the city. The breakfast is very nice, w/ good quality of food. They charge 22 euros for an internet access in the room, and the free access on the lobby expires in 30 min... so each 30 min you must ask for another password, quite annoying but works. |

High Class environment. Interior Lobby is extremely well done - a show case. Front desk staff was extremely helpful. Great, well appointed comfortable room. Convenient location. The negative attitude of the Waiters in the main dinning room. It was like being at a restraunt in Paris. The dining room had very little business and I believe it was because the waiters looked down on their customers. Consequently, we eat only one meal there and felt very unconfortable the entire meal. |

Courteous and helpful staff - spoke English. The room was clean and nicely done. The beds were a little on the hard side. Would also be nice to have another English speaking channel besides bbc. |

We liked it's very central position, we were able to walk everywhere and it was close to the statioin for our journey from/to the airport.We loved the decor especially the marvellous staircase. This is not a criticism but we would have liked to have been able to make tea/coffee in our room. |

It was convenient,comfortable and we only realised how good your restuarant was on the last day! We found the staff somewhat unfriendly but helpful.This may be a cultural difference. |

Absolutely nothing. A cold and unfriendly hotel with staff that are clearly not interested in making the guest''s stay pleasant. The bed and pillow were rock hard. No kleenex were supplied, miniscule bath soap staff sullen and unhelpful breakfast very expensive per person I would definitely not recommend the Avenida Palace. Greeting unfriendly. The room they gave us had a view of the back buildings of Barcelona. We had to call down for extra towels several times the once we were told that there was no towel service unitl the next morning. |

Location, decor. Arrived from airport at 11am hotel stored baggage until room ready, advised that this would be 3pm which was great. Returned to hotel at 4.15 pm reception staff asked that we wait in site of reception and would call us as there was a computer problem. No call so 30mins later when staff seemed to be gossiping amongst themselves I asked if room was ready told it was, no apology given for wait. |

Centrally placed. It is situated right above the underground line. From time to time one can hear and feel the trains passing beneath you. In addition the smell in wc is present. |

The Lobby and rooms where quite nice and the support staff were great.... But I was left feeling I was paying more for the fancy stairwell (see web pictures) in the lobby that leads to no where, then for my room. Still For the money it was a good value and great location. |
