Hotel Balmoral

The breakfast buffet was excellent (which can't always be taken for granted in Southern European countries) and available until 11am. The room wasn't enormously spacious, but sufficient, very clean, modern and positively plain.

The view to the backyard was not too charming and, for a hotel that attracts many international guests, it seemed somewhat strange only to have Spanish TV channels.

We thought that the Balmoral gave us a pleasant, relaxing stay and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

It should be cheaper , cleaner and some of the staff could be more polite. Expensive breakfast since most of the coffeshops in that area offering a lot more in cheaper prize.

The attitude of one of the hotel staff at reception was not good.

We stayed in the Balmoral Hotel for a city break. Great location a 5 minute walk to the Metro. The hotel was clean and quiet, staff friendly and helpful. We would recommend the Hotel to friends.

The hotel is in a great location as it is away from the main tourist area but close enough to walk or take the metro. The staff were helpful and happy to answer questions. Room was cleaned really well everyday.

I stayed in a room on the first floor and you could hear the metro passing underground a bit. It wasn't a big problem though.

The air-conditioning did not work in the first room. We were not told this and spent an hour there trying to get it to work. When we reported the problem they changed us to a room with working air-conditioning.

Room was a great size and although on the main road it was very quiet. Great location (although not as close to Placa Catalyuna as one would expect from the description)

Some staff was quite impolite - as if they couldn't answer your question fast enough..

Hotel was clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced given its location. There was always plenty of hot water and the air conditioning was great. The breakfast was beautiful but expensive.

We had specifically asked for a double room but were given a twin room with a wall for a view. We asked to be changed and were given an alternative room with no bother.
