Everything was kept clean. Both room and bathroom were a good size. Central location. Broken things cleaned but not repaired (floor, flexible showerhead "pipe") . The beds were really hard (we were warned, but thought we liked rather firm beds...) The room lacked storage place. The cleaning machine was always in the pool, so you couldn't swim lenghts because it has to be in the way in a pool that obviously can't be olympic-sized. We did not try the breakfast because we had read that it wasn't worth it. |

We selected this hotel primarily due to the central location within Barcelona. The accommodations represented an excellent value for the money and our stay was very pleasant. |

The hotel room was comfortable and modern, which I enjoyed very much. Location was nice as able to walk around and be part of the locals. The check in process could improve as 4 female pick-pockets followed me into the hotel lobby and attempted to steal from my purse as we were walking into the lobby. When I reported this to the staff their comment was pick pockets are a problem. They could of had a doorman at the door allowing paying customers to get into the hotel to check in. |

A classy feel with good quality furnishings, good breakfast options, nice chill out area, internet availability, good central location within easy walking distance of Placa Catalunya and Barceloneta etc. etc. Apparent lack of urgency in repairing running toilet cistern. Walls/floors seemed "thin". Having paid up to €203/night being charged €1.50 for coffee in the room was pretty outrageous as was €3.00 for 0,5 litre of water from the minibar when 1,0 litre was available at SPAR for €0,50. Coffee and water should be free (say 1 sachet/bottle each/day). |

The hotel staff is very friendly and professional, the staff from the font desk is great. The location of the hotel is perfect, the rooms are nice and the lounge terras is very relaxing during the evening. The pool has a great view. When I come back to Barcelona, I come back to Hotel Barcelona Catedral. |

Staff were excellent and room quite. Did not like the fact you got charged for tea and coffee in your room. Breakfast should be included in high price of room. Pool did not live up to standard of the photograph published on hotel website. |

Location was excellent for all sight seeing but not too busy and noisy. Staff were very helpful. Room design was lovely. Also I e mailed the hotel to ask for Cava in our room as it was my mums 60th birthday and they gave it to us complimentary, with a nice message from all the hotel staff. Just a little touch but made our stay extra special. Thank you very much to everyone at the hotel. |

Great location, very nice room and excellent staff. For 18 Euro per person, the breakfast was very weak. We decided to get breakfast elsewhere after one try. |

Centrally located in the Gothic section of town - less than a block from the beautiful Cathedral - with immediate access to all parts of the old town. It is about a 5 minute walk to La Ramblas and 5 minutes to Plaza Catalunya. Street feels safe and would normally be quiet - except we were there for their week-long Barcelona festival - with a live music stage in the nearby plaza and hordes of party people. Actually, that was kind of fun. Room was quiet and well-appointed in modern style. Beds are hard - typical of European hotels. Because of the weak US dollar, the price is a bit high. |

The room was exceptionally comfortable with a large bathroom. It was quiet, clean, and modern. The location could not have been better for enjoying touring the city, restaurants, nightlife. |

The location was perfect Right around the corner from the Cathedral. It was a short walk to La Rambla and the market. It was close to shopping and museums. The rooftop terrace with the pool was great. The room was modern and very clean. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast is very expensive, Euro 18.00 is alot for a breakfast, even for a lunch that would be expensive. |

I liked the location ... being minutes from the cathedral was wonderful and being within walking distance to everything was amazing. I really enjoyed the complimentary walking tour offered by the hotel -- the guide was excellent. We found that the air conditioning was not up to par. It was very hot in the rooms at night even though we had the air conditioning turned down to 15 and the window closed. It would have been nice to have had complimentary tea and coffee instead of having to pay 1.50 E -- the hotel we stayed at at the beginning of our trip offered complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and pasties 24/7 in their lobby. |

We thought the location was excellent! Right in front of the Cathedral and in the centre of the old town (Ciutat Vella). Being able to go on to the rooftop pool when the weather was great made our stay more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was nothing in particular that displeased us but, we would say that the whilst it is a central hotel in a city/holiday destination it has more of a business hotel feel about it. We would recommend staying in a room as far as possible from the elevator as it does seem that the noise insulation is not great. |

Hotel very stylish, great decor. For Europe large room and bath. Breakfast very nice touch. Front desk staff speaks English and can give very good directions. Beds are too hard, the AC does not get cool enough. Breakfast does not open until 7:30 but most Americans have to leave for the airport by 8 pm, service so slow you can't get the breakfast that is included. They missed our wake up call on the day of departure but did order the cab for us. |
