The location is good for walking to most sights and for shopping & they changed our rooms after we complained of noise. The rooms were old and although we had a duplex suite, we hardly used the living room as it was on the second floor and we had a small child sleeping downstairs - climbing up woke her up. The room was also outside the supply lift and it was very noisy for our baby to sleep, so when we complained, they upgraded us to the junior suite which was much more convenient. For this class of hotel though, I would say the hotel is not maintained well at all. There was construction going on, and the place was dated. |

I stayed at the hotel with my dog for two nights, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and they upgraded my room too! The location was great for shopping on Passeig de Gracia, and also for the Gracia area. Bed very, very comfortable. No problems with having dog in hotel whatsoever. I enjoyed everything. My room seemed to face away from the road though, so maybe was lucky on noise levels that other commenters have mentioned. |

Location and Reputation The room assigned to me. The 1st was on the ground floor and after a request to move to upper location they gave me a room on the 1st floor but a smoking one with an unbearable smell to tobacco. I think Booking shoul have an option to ask for a specific room (higher/non smoking/twin bed..etc) |

The hotel was booked for a birthday surprise and the luxury experience was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Only that we didn't get the champagne and slippers but i think i was in the shower at the time so the maid was probably being polite! |

It was in a good location. The hotel staff was not very helpful. We were also very dissapointed by the noise. The windows and walls are paper thin. You can forget about getting a good nights sleep. This is not a 5 star hotel. We actually checked out early and the hotel was very nice to give us a credit. |

We were returning from a cruise, 3 couples and the hotel was very accommondating. Took care of our luggage before check in time and made sure we liked our rooms location. Gave us information about the tourist bus, where to go for dinners etc. They were very helpful, friendly and pleasant. Doorman always had a smile and gave us good advice. The hotel is in a great location. |

We went to Barcelona for a long weekend break. The hotel was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. It's facilities were certainly 5* delux and the staff were very helpful. We were only disappointed with the bar/food prices which were very expensive. However, everything else was fantastic. |

The location of the Claris is second to none , and the roof terrace is great . . . The pool was smaller than it looked in photos and the non smoking room I had requested smelled of cigarettes. |

Nice design, nice art, especially the Egyptian collection. I like the fact that the hotel supports the museum. The hotel needs to institute some ecologically-friendly policies. It is not necessary to change sheets or towels daily. Recycling boxes in the room would be appreciated. Breakfast is too expensive. Sometimes the attention from staff is a little too much, though well-meaning. |

The hotel is beautiful and its location is good if you want to stay in the Eixample There are serious soundproofing problems which shouldn't exist in a classy 5 star hotel like this one. We were in a street-facing room and couldn't believe the noise from traffic, it felt as if there was an open window! If you book this hotel, make sure you get one of the inner rooms. Still, we could hear doors slamming a lot... |

One of the few hotels whose service and quality reflected their star rating An excessive fee for late checkout when the room was clearly not booked out the night of our departure. We didnt utilise late checkout because of this. We have availed ourselves of late checkout at other hotels and always had this fee waived if the room wasnt being used that day. |
