Excellent location with only a few minutes walk from Plaza de Cataluna where the airport shuttle bus is based. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was "free" so can't complain too much but it was a uninspiring. It was not self-service so you were given set breakfast of mixed rolls, slice of cheese/sausage + orange juice and coffee. Coffee was good but orange not real juice and rolls poor quality. We ended up buying breakfast from small cafe in same street which was excellent for less than 4 euros each |

It was centrally placed to facilitate visiting the various attractions of the city. The breakfasts were not to my liking. |

The location is excellent! I didn't realise that it was right in the middle of everything. Also, the staff was nice and the breakfast was okay (it was at least as good as the one in the previous hotel I stayed in, which cost twice as much). It is good value for money, especially if you're going to be spending most of your time in Barcelona outside the hotel (shopping, sightseeing, etc) rather than in your room. The room's quite small, but I just needed a place to sleep. The bed was fine - I'm not sure why so many people complained about it. I just put the spare blanket on it and slept like a baby. The free internet's very good and quite fast also. What else do you want for the price? It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room... |

The staff at the reception was very nice and professional. The thin walls make you hear noises or even just the normal chatting of the guests staying next door. |

We had a lovely stay at this pleasant hotel - not too large and excellently situated to enjoy the old city. Staff were friendly and helpful. |

The location was very good I booked the hotel with a requirement for a Gluten Free breakfast, and this was stated on the booking. (a serious requirements and not A fad diet) There was no gluten free breakfast, and there was no knowledge of my requirement by either reception management or dining staff. In fact I was abruptly advised by dining staff that what I received was all that would be available. The breakfast provided was of no use and apart from drinking the coffee, I had no breakfast. I checked out of the Hotel that morning. I was asked to pay the cost of the room for the second day, (I had booked four days) which I reluctantly paid rather than argue. Very disappointing. Room was noisy and no blackout curtains to screen the floodlighting from exterior. |

The hotel is located nicely, right in the center of Barcelona, very close to Placa Catalunya. This offers good opportunities for exploring the city. The staff was nice and helpful. Furthermore, the hotel has WiFi, which is also very good. The beds are short, which is not very comfortable for people over 1.85m. The same is true for the showers, which are fixed on the wall at about 1.80m, such that taking a morning shower links in with morning gymnastics. |

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, with excellent English at reception. Perfect location for sightseeing, bus connections, etc. and easy access to good eating. Much quieter than I had anticipated, in such a location, and very safe. Just right for a tourist doing it fairly cheaply. A small fridge in the room would be a help, to keep water, etc, cold. Needn't be a mini-bar. |

location is excellent in a good area, 200 meters away from Placa Catalunya. Staff is helpfull and friendly, also speaks English. Rooms are clean and well airconditioned. And it's pretty spanish, which I like. interior is a bit old and could do with a renovation, but it's clean. Wifi could be better (not available in our room) |

Location was excellent -- within 2 blocks of Plaza Catalunya, yet on enough of a side street (Santa Ana) that room was quiet. AC worked well, room was decent size. Bathroom was smallish, but worked well. Breakfast was basic continental, but entirely adequate. |

The hotel is very convenient for the main attractions and very close to all transport facilities including the airport shuttle. The receptionists were particularly pleasant and helpful. It is tired. Could do with refurbishment particularly of the rooms. There were few creature comforts. For example the only toiletries provided was a bar of soap. The aircon was noisy. |

The staff were excellent. They prepared me for the condition in certain areas of the city, where to travel safely and where to be careful. They were extremely attentive to my needs and requests. This includes all shifts. |

The Hotel Catalunya is conveniently set right in Barcelona’s old quarter, just off La Rambla and 50 metres from Plaça Catalunya, with free Wi-Fi in every room. |
This hotel has an unbeatable location in a side street just 20 metres from Las Ramblas. The value-for-money Hotel Moderno includes free breakfast and free Wi-Fi. |
The hotel is situated in the centre of Barcelona, right on Plaça de Catalunya at the top of Las Ramblas, providing a fantastic location in the heart of this lively city. |
This hotel is on a side street just metres from Las Ramblas. It has a lovely rooftop terrace and offers free wired internet in all areas. |
