Location and friendly relaxed attitude of staff. We paid the top price for a superior with balcony room, and were given just a room with a small balcony. we were late arrivals and so did not query it.Was this the hotel or the booking company at fault? |

Right in the middle of all the activities on La Rambla!! It was noisy, but there were no shrill or ugly noises and we actually enjoyed all the hubbub. We were just one floor above the street--good but a little too close. |

While I felt the hotel was adequate the hotel was nothing special, apart from the location on the Ramblas The hotel room walls were paperthin you could hear the guests in the adjoining room talking. |

Found reception staff very helpful and this was the perfect location for a city break to Barcelona. The only thing that disappointed us was the Bar/Cafe which we thought was part of the hotel because a door led directly into it from the hotel, not very friendly and food not great. |

Great location. Right on La Rambla. Typical of European hotels. Don't expect anything to be provided that is not listed. Breakfast was a good start. Lots to do right outside the door. Do note that this hotel is right on the main tourist street in the city and the most popular night clubs in the the area are very close. Great location but the thieves and pick pockets are waiting for you to leave the hotel. Beds hard as a rock. Front desk folks did not always speak English or Spanish. Remember that the local language is Cataluynain. |

Location, location and location!!! We booked balcony rooms, but the balcony is so small, you couldn't even stand on the balcony. The picture on the website showed 2 chairs and a table on the balcony. Save your money, and don't book a balcony room. |

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel with no negative aspects to point out. Just a suggestion: Only one person serving breakfast is not enough. She can´t do properly everything such as cleaning the tables, controlling the assistance...Think about that! |

Lovely hotel and staff very helpful. Hotel near to harbour and it was lovely to walk there during the day If I would visit Barcelona again I would not stay on La Ramblas, because at night after dinner it was not stay to go. We were back at hotel no later than 10.30 p.m. |

Convenient to Las Ramblas and within walking distance to a number of tourist sites. Next to underground station and port area. Plenty of eating places nearby, though a bit costly. Lack of restaurant and rooms a bit minimal. No English speaking tv. channels. No facilities for smokers (unless you stand out on the balcony!) No hot breakfast available, but buffet breakfast fairly good value, considering local cafe/restaurant prices. |

Location on La Ramblas We booked a standard room which turned out to be like a cell. No window, and the most basic room I have ever seen. Had I known, would never have tooked it. Forced to pay for an upgrade to a 'superior' room. Very limited choice. You are forced to have a superior if you don't want aa 'cell'. The choice should be better described on the web site. |

The location of the hotel was excellent The noise in the morning was unbearable. This wasn't from the busy street outside but from the banging of doors from the staff as the room was located next to the cleaning cupboard. There was no natural light. You also have to be up and out early if you want to miss the cleaners wanting to clean the room - one cleaner arrived as early as 8.30am. |

Staff were very helpfull the hotel was in the main tourist area and close to the water front and has lifts. Don't discount the lifts when you are travelling in budget hotels in Europe The hotel could upgrade carpets in the hallways and some upgrade to bed coverings if our room was an example. |
