Hotel is really well located (L4 Jaume I yellow line) and easy to find it. There are two buildings, the old one (here you can find the recepction) and the new one. The second its better cause is more comfortable and in front of the old one. You have to cross the street when you go to your room. Maremàgnum, Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya nearest from the hotel. Reception inside the first bulding, the old. Street its not precisely ideal to rest cause there are a lot of people 24 hours and windows look normally to it. There is a great difference between the first building and the new one but you can choose your accomodation when you make a reservation. The new is a little bit expensive than the older.Walls really fine you can hear everyone. |

First they attempted to pretend there was no reservation, then attempted to charge for two reservations, then tried to hold on physically to my credit card. Corruption, dishonest manipulation, and an awful place in a good location. |

The hotel was part of the annex - the more modern section of the hotel. We had a small balcony and the beds and bathroom were fine. The three things we did not like were the dimness of the lighting in the bedroom/main room, the absence of chairs and the unpleasant smell on entering the annex foyer. |

I liked that the hotel is situated near the Gothic Church and very near a metro station (easy accesible from the airport with the RENFE train and a metro from the Passage de Gracia) Very bad smell of cigarette in the room; no soap in the bathroom; no remote control in the room for the TV |

The hotel is very central so within easy reach by foot of the major sights plus only about a 20/25 minute walk to the beach, ideally situated. Pleasant enough staff. The room was clean it had a bed a toilet & a shower, that's all you need! Lack of a bar/restaurant facilities, annoying when you have to find a restaurant for breakfast, but I guess it is quite a small hotel so there maybe no room for a restaurant I guess. Not the greatest view from the room, grey drainpipes & quite warm in the room as well even with the fan on - plus a creaky bed!! |

Yes. The smell. There are dead, decomposing rats in the lift shaft. You go into the Annex and are faced with this dreadful smell which gets worse as the heat of the day increases. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone because of the dead rats and bad smell. And the noise all night - there is a bar nearby. |

Location is excellent 1. Almost nobody speaks English. 2. No daylight and air in the room if wooden doors to balcony were closed. 3. No curtains on doors to Balcony so everybody could watch us. 4. Blocked sinks. 5. The chairs which used to fall down when we were sitting on. 6. Very poor comfort in rooms. |

The main thing, no surprise, is location. 50m from the tube, 200m from Ramblas, coffee, food shops right outside. Can be a bit noisy, but no problem to us. would like WIFI. |

I especially liked its location. It is located in the center of the Gothic quarter just in the center of things. A walking distance just about from everything and if not there is a metro station just next to it. No phone in the room. So I couldn't get calls. |

There was no hot water at any time of my stay. The television did not work. It was obvious that there was no regular maintenance or concern that all services advertised were available. |

the location is excellent, could not be better. Walking distance to main attractions, shopping area and restaurants. Good price but do not expect a wonderful room, is just enough to sleep and have a shower, clean. |

We stayed at the Annex part for a week. The room was very nice, colorful walls, really nice bathroom, wooden floors. Barca won the champion during that week and the balcony door kept the noise outside. Last summer we stayed at the Rey Don Jaime I part of the hotel where walls were very thin, this Annex part was so much better. |

The location of the hotel was ideal. Situated right in between the Gothic Quarter and the port, it was very close by things to see and do, such as La Rambla, and transportation links like tour buses or the subway. |

the location of the hotel is right in the center of it all, and we had easy access to everything including the beach and the metro station. The room was pretty clean and so was the bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful in several occasions when we needed them. It was hard to communicate with some staff that did not know how to speak french or english. The beds are not very comfortable and there are no windows, so the room is dim. The door on the balcony did not do a proper job by isolating the noises on the street, which makes you feel as if the people on the street are actually screaming and talking in your own room! |

The hotel is in the amazing Barrio Gotico, full of people at night and a 5 minute walk from the Ramblas. It is only 50 meters from Jaume I metro station and quite close to Picasso Museum, the Cathedral and other interesting places. Hotel position was excellent. No hair dryer. Room is essential but fair, considering the price. |
