Having stayed before, we were upgraded to one of the new Designer Rooms - great treat and much appreciated.The location is wonderful, so convenient for everything and the staff great. Do not rate the breakfasts but then it is an option which can be avoided especially as it costs 10 euros.We do not eat meat and the cheese was awful. Why when there are so many great Spanish cheeses? We were also cold sitting in the breakfast cafe.but it was during a very cold spell. |

The location of the hotel was excellent and considering the noise from La Ramblas the room was very well insulated The room was not very clean and the restaurant was not up to thw standard of the hotel. There is a second restaurant within the hotel but this appeared to not be in use |

You can't beat the location. The rooms were adequate size and very clean. Not being able to adjust the temperature in the room. The internet service, which costs extra, was extremely slow. |

Location is great along the nice part of the Ramblas. This is your average 3 star hotel, not a 4 star in my opinion. The Heating System was not working in the whole hotel due to maintenance, and that's even in December! This was never stated while booking and not even while checking-in, which is a very bad thing. It was also very noisy all day long due to other major maintenance works in different floors.. Maybe it's us who are unlucky to stay during this period but I believe they could've been more transparent and stated this before we booked there! |

The staff was excellent. The location was perfect. The room and amenities were great. We stayed for one night after a cruise and wished we could have stayed longer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Barcelona. |

the location was excellent The room we were given (317) was dark and dingy with one tiny window overlooking other hotel rooms, no view at all. Tried to change rooms, but told no other available. Very disappointing. |

The Area Beds were connected and not a double bed. Beside the toilets should be cleaner for a 4 star standard. |

The location is excellent for travelers and visits to the old city. The desk staff was friendly and courteous. The buffet breakfast was good for one who needs a hearty meal in the morning. Uninviting lobby. Unpleasant smell from the plumbing. Air conditioning was inadequate. |

The location is perfect. Perhaps it's possible to recommand the shuttlebus from the airport to plaza cataluna on the booking.com site. It's a perfect solutions. Costs € 5,00 p.p. and the two minute walk the hotel. I'm sure people are interested . Breakfast is not included. If you give gasts the opportunitie to book this in advance (perhapse with a small discount) it is a very good service |

As soon as we arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful.The room was lovely,very comfortable and tastfully decorated.The location was excellent right in the heart of the city but yet you couldnt hear the hustle and bustle outside We had our breakfast on the first morning and it was awful.Everything was cold not at all nice.The staff didnt interact much either.We didnt eat there again.It was a disappointment as everything else was lovely |

We liked the central location of the hotel and it's closeness to shopping centres, tours and the port area. Staff OK. Obviously knowing that maintenance work would be in progress the hotel was still prepared to take bookings. Loud drilling and hammering started at 0800hrs and continued without pause until 2000hrs. The room was very,very basic and dark. The view from the hotel window overlooked yards and utilities. It resembled student accommodation. A 2 star hotel rating at best. |

It was afabulously situated hotel so close to every thing.friendly staff. We were very suprised that there was no facility to have a cup of tea or coffee in the rooh as hotels of similar class world over provide such facillities. |

We truly liked just about everything at the Royal. We were traveling with a downsized wheelchair and the staff never failed to come and help us maneuver the chair thru a difficult door (for us) A tad softer on the mattresses. |

hotel is very central and very easy to commute with the bus or metro breakfast too expensive and boring in fact we only had b'fast 2 times, TV channels only 2 English! Boring! |

the foyer staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Having stayed before in the hotel I enjoyed the front room overlooking the Ramblas. and missed the vending machine. |
