El tracte del recepcionista i la neteja.

L'aire condicionat no va acabar d'anar bé mai. La llum del pasadís tardava molt a funcionar. Sols hi havia una cadira a l'habitació i per tant les persones es tenien que asseure al llit i això feia que el matalàs fes pendent, cosa que va provocar que jo caigués del llit al tombar-me.

La situació és força bona. És confortable i pots gaudir de la terrassa-bar al final de la jornada.

El garatge no és massa "còmode"

Very intersting and appealing architecture, ideal position close to Guggenheim Museum and town center. For Spanish standards, reception staff speaks fairly good English.

The prize for breakfast is exaggerated, but there are nice little coffy shops in side street next to the hotel

The location is superb. 5 mins to the right is Guggenheim, and 2 mins to the left is Calatrava bridge. Architectural heaven. And the old town is 15 mins walk, while the new city is 34 mins. As well the tram which goes the length of the city is 3 mins walk. Our room was bright, clean with excellent bathroom. The bar downstairs overlooking the river, Goog, bridge and locals passimento was a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. As well the glasses of wine were very substantial. The reviews are the best way to assess a hotel; and the Hesperia reviews more than matched the experience.

Airconditioning did not work well - room was too hot ; staff was ok but not friendly, especially with the breakfast ; Coffee at breakfast was not nice ; no water coocker/senseo in room ; Wifi did not work with mobile phone ;

Room was small - bathroom in particular. Would have liked a soap dish - as soap kept sliding off the counter!

the room was really nice, loved the decor, simple and stylish. the big open reception area is lovely. it was really good value for money. and i liked that there was an english channel on the tv. it has a good location on the river front and close to shops, bars etc.

Superb location opposite Guggenheim Museum. Own secure car park. Close to historic centre of Bilbao

Hotel location by the river was very attractive but close enough to the city centre.

the food, the staff and the ambience

Fairly compact but stylish and comfortable room with sleek design of bathroom and separate double washbasin area. Public areas were pleasant and the breakfast restaurant light and spacious. Breakfast itself was reasonable but not exceptional. Reception staff were especially friendly and welcoming, but still professional and not over-familiar. Located just across the river from the main commercial/shopping area, with the semi-circular Zubizuri footbridge almost directly in front. Also a pleasant riverside stroll from the Guggenheim Museum in one direction and the old town area in the other. Good value at the booking.com rate, which included breakfast - I have used several hotels in Bilbao and this was the best overall value so far.

Small quibble that in my room on the 7th floor there was very little space between the bottom of the bed and the seats fitted against the wall - scarcely enough for 1 person to walk through and may be a bother for a couple sharing the room, but it did not detract too much from the otherwise good impression of the room.

The bar area was nice and relaxing, as well as the lobby area. Staff was nice and gave us good recommendations for dinner and walking.
