Within easy walking distance to be able to see Bilbao - old town, shops, Guggenheim etc. Surrounding area a little intimidating especially returning late at night |

The hotel is situated on the edge of the old town right next to the final tram stop. It is a 5 minute stroll into the old town where the best bars, restaurants and shops are, and is a half hour walk along the river to the Guggenheim (or 5 mins on the tram). It's not in the prettiest location but it is fine and safe, and personally I think it's a much better location than around the Guggenheim where there is no atmosphere. We used our hotel just as a base. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and have everything you need with a nice big bathroom. It's a no-frills hotel, but great value for money. Views aren't the world's best, but accept what you pay for! |

Your female receptionist was exceptionally friendly, to the point of lending me her own umbrella to go out in case it rained. All the staff were very helpful. I chose your hotel from the internet because of other guests commenting on this and I was not disappointed |

It took us 2 hours to find the hotel since there were no clear indications. The nearest car park is almost 1 Km away and we had to carry our lugagge all way long. There are works on the street so we woke up early because of the noise. |

Personal, family hotel style welcome. Information and advice from reception staff. Location excellent for getting to know the city, with the Euskotren (Tram) station within a few yards of the hotel. |

The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and good with young kids. Location good for visiting old town, city centre and Guggenheim. Roadworks outside meant the room was extremely noisy pretty much all night. This should be a temporary problem though and to be fair it was not the hotel's fault. Breakfast wasn't brilliant. Too much sugary, processed food for our tastes. |

the friendliness of staff, convenient location of the hotel in the "casco viejo" building and road works throughout the whole city make it difficult to find the hotel and cause a lot of noise in the daytime |

The location of the hotel was excellent, the town centre just 5 mins walk. Lots of tapas bars and restaurants in the centre. Good secure parking. |

Comfortable hotel in great location -close to old town for restaurants and tram for Guggenheim very close. Good value and helpful staff. Currently there are road works outside the hotel, but this did not bother us too much. Breakfast not great, but OK. |

A very clean spacious room with big windows. Nicely situated for Old town and the rest of Bilbao city centre - everything was walking distance although you could get on a lovely tram one minute from the hotel. It's extremely hard to get to the hotel in the car because of the many one way systems and road works in the area, do make sure you have a very good, up dated instruction from the hotel to save your time. There was a big road work right outside and it could get quite noisy. It was a bit on the noisy side in early morning in general. |

This elegant, contemporary hotel boasts spectacular views over Bilbao’s River Nervion from its setting near the world-famous Guggenheim Museum and old town. |
This innovatively designed, new hotel is very well located for exploring on foot all the main sights of the city, and is close to the river in the old part of central Bilbao. |
Located across the river from Bilbao’s world-famous Guggenheim Museum, this design hotel offers a fashionable setting for your stay in the Basque capital. |
After a full refurbishment (January 2006), the hotel 4-star Barceló Avenida is now one of the main reference points in Bilbao. |
