The hotel is in a very good location and very convenient for shops, restaurants, trains and buses. Having stayed in Cervantes in March I was really looking forward to my visit in June. Unfortunately I found the whole stay very disappointing. I had to wait an hour before being given a room, other people checking in immediately before & after me were given their rooms immediately. No offer to look after luggage so I could go for a snack, I was waved over to seating area and told to wait an unspecified length of time, I asked how long they said they would call me. I was not called & the people I had dealt with went off for on their break (presumably lunch). I presumed delay was due to the fact the room I had requested on high floor with evening sunshine was not ready. I got fed up waiting & asked reception for update only to be told room was ready for 20 minutes, why was I not called, I was the only person sitting in reception. The room I was given was on low floor right over entrance door with no afternoon or evening sun at all, it did get a little morning sun when it was not in shadow from other buildings. It was noisy I hardly slept for the four nights. Late at night I was kept awake by loud singing at the entrance from party goers over for stag and hen parties. In the middle of night it was the refuse lorries noisily collecting the bins, early in the morning coaches parked across the road from entrance had their engines running for over an hour while waiting for their passengers to depart on day trips. While the beds were comfortable there was mould on the tiles in the bathroom and a slight intermittent odour from the bathtub drain. The quality of the food at breakfast was poor. Eggs not fully cooked & even the whites were runny, bacon very salty, the toasters take forever to toast. All the hot food was barely lukewarm, even the coffee. On my last morning a staff member came into my room at 9 a.m to see if I was gone, surely reception could have advised my room was still in use. I wont be back. |

It's located in the centre and close (but not next) to the beach. Some reviews mentioned that this is a 'design' hotel but it is definitely not. The restaurant gets very crowded at breakfast (mostly elderly people) and waiting for an elevator takes forever. Wifi is expensive. "Sea view" means that you'll have a peek through the adjoining buildings. |

Well located right in the centre, close to most restaurants, bars and cafes, yet only 10 minutes (hilly) walk from the beach. Has 2 good pools (one on rooftop) and good choice of food for breakfast and dinner. Restaurant waiting staff were not exactly friendly or helpful |

The selection of food was mediocre on the first two evenings of our stay, and the dress code was slack (several men wore shorts for their evening meal) |

The hotel was welcoming and the breakfast was huge - although did not eat in restaurant any other time - it is ideal for the beach and great for the shops and only a short trip from the airport. Although cheap for the triple room - so bill split 3 ways - we did find the round of drinks (2 diet cokes and a lime and soda) was expensive at 10 euros!!! |

The food is excellent, the staff are nice No uk tv!! Lots of German and French..... Why do single guests get the poor rooms with no view at the back of the hotel??? The walls are vedry thin and you can hear guests in the next room talking. |

It was a great location. Very suitable for adults, and only ten minutes from the Airport. It was a bit noisey due to building work going on at the time we stayed. |

The breakfasts were very good and included in the price. The location of the hotel is excellent for both the town centre and beach and nearness to the railway atation. The rooms are a good size and the views from the balcony impressive. The price was good. The room was not cleaned on one of the days of my stay. Surprised to be asked to pay on arrival. Otherwise no complaints. |

I stayed for 2 nights in mid-late March 2009, and given the size of the sea view room and balcony consider the value available for the selected days was good value. Staff were always very polite, and pleasant. Didn't stay long enough or have an opportunity to use all the facilities to form a more thorough view. |

The hotel has been updated since my last visit in 2007 and now deserves its four stars. Comfortable rooms, good variety at breakfast, friendly, efficient staff. We really enjoyed our four days at the Cervantes and would recommend it to anyone. It is very centrally located for shops, restaurants, train, bus and the lift to the sea front. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Also the t.v. only had one station in English (CNN) and as we had rain for two days it would have come in handy to catch up on European news in English. |

The room was very large and comfortable, by European standards. It was always immaculately clean, and the staff tried to be as helpful as possible. 1/2 board buffets had a good variety of appetizing food selections. As above, the room was large and comfortable and housekeeping services excellent,Location is ideal. It would represent excellent value if there were decent mattresses on the beds! I would stay again only if I had room in my suitcase for my own battery operated inflatable air mattress to use as an overlay. |
