Beautiful setting with fantastic views. Coastal walk to the left of the hotel & seafront promenade walk to the right. The town is walkable, too (or short taxi ride). Perfect stay before catching the ferry. Room looking a bit tired but ok though. Hotel restaurant rather expensive although cafe available & a few eating places within walking distance. |

The room was always clean and even sheets changed daily As per other reviews, rooms are quite noisy, always hearing other guests |

A really magical place with spectacular views and the wonderful ocean wave song as a lullaby each night. Breakfast menu was extensive with lots of fresh fruit great coffee and evening food varied , tasty and very reasonably priced in Cafeteria, more expensive in restaurant .Staff efficient, helpful and friendly. Cant praise this hotel ,staff and management enough . I like to eat reasonably early in the evening and found the evening meals a little late starting. |

Design and situation of Hotel. The catering faclities and staff were first class and the room was of a high standard. Very easy to walk into town or straight on to the beach No faclities to make hot drinks in room - oh for a cup of tea! made with boiling water. |

Great views of the beach. It was a good 45min walk to the city centre but the walk along the coast is stunning. The bus is also very handy to get into town. Few dining options near the hotel and the rooms were small and not soundproof. |

It was right on the beach, so the location was excellent, the room was very clean, the standard was very good. The restaurant belonging to the hotel did not open until 9pm. this was a big disappointment |

the position overlooking the beach which is beautiful, the decor, very modern. Most of the staff looked as though they hated their jobs, and apart from no one smiled. |

the room, the power shower, the view, the buffet breakfast, the location of the hotel, near the city, and right beside the cliff walk going to the light house. the reception staff were very cold, rather unfriendly. |

The breakfast was extremely good Unfortunately in the bar area outside the main restaurant there was a strong smell from the toilets which was very noticeable |

walking along the beach from hotel via peninsula de Magdalena to jardines de Pereda , sight seeing in the city - retour by bus that the cafeteria did not serve french fries prior to 21h ; and I found the house burger/sandwich (your speciality) compared to your classic burger not good at all ( too small, too simple and just not worth the money) |

Location and ease of access to the centre of town, ferry and Bilbao and lots of local restaurants at hand ,if you do not use the hotel facilities. Very busy at weekends - so parking can be a problem. Restaurant somewhat expensive for tourists (did not use this facility as there where good cheaper alternatives around) |

Location and sea view On Sunday night 2nd November we planned a birthday dinner in the restaurant. The detail of events in the lobby showed the restaurant open from 2100 but in fact it was closed! Could not the events display have shown this correctly? |

The Silken Rio Santander is a totally refurbished, 4 star hotel with views to the wonderful beaches of El Sardinero and the Cantabrian Sea. |
This extensive hotel is set just off the beautiful Sardinero beach, Santander. One of the largest hotels in northern Spain, it features a wide range of facilities for business and leisure. |
This fully renovated hotel is located between the Gran Casino and the Magdalena Palace, facing the Sardinero beaches. It offers fully equipped rooms with balconies, most of which overlook the sea. |
Located right by the ferry port in the centre of Santander and with a 24-hour front desk, this hotel is very well connected to other means of transport. |
