Brilliantly maintained, fantastic view from our hotel, smart decor and overall a very comfortable stay. Would definitely stay there again. Bottom floor restaurant is recommended as well. |

Central situation, unspoilt medeival setting sympathetically updated, as a modern hotel. Lack of international choice on TV, which seems petty BUT it is nice to keep up to date with the news. |

Our room had a wonderful view of both the canyon and the cathedral. Loved the room, very spacious and comfortable. Fantastic location, close to everything. |

Our room at the back of the hotel was very large and quiet. Perfect location in the cente of the old town close to plaza mayor, cathedral and footbridge over the Huecar gorge. Overall, very good price quality ratio. There's no parking close too the hotel, however, +- 500m futher (following the Calle San Pedro uphill and through the city gates) there's free parking at the mirador (view point). |

Hotel was situated right in the heart of the old town area of Cuenca and the view from the bedroom window over the gorge was fantastic. Compared with other hotels of a similar rating in Spain, this hotel did not merit the 4 stars. Bedroom was very small and uncomfortable. The only chair in the room was broken, as was the pull-cord for the blinds. Worst of all, we had no air conditioning during our two night stay despite complaining twice to hotel staff. The temperature outside was in the 30s - the room was hotter. |

The two rooms we had were very clean and had a bit of character but were unexceptional. Location is good. The hotel restaurant is a joke -- aesthetically attractive but the food simply canned food placed on nice dinnerware -- and was very expensive. A tourist dive we ate in actually had better food at a fifth the price. The restaurant was an umitigated ripoff -- overpriced and terrible food. We ate there at the recommendation of the hotel staff, who warned strongly against eating elsewhere in the area. The hotel is fine, but the restaurant is awful (and the hotel loses some credibility for warning against eating elsewhere). |

After we complained about the first room (small, dark, only a small window), we got a beautiful suite. The Hotel is very beautiful, a very well renovated old building, by a daring architect. Breakfast was ok, we did not try the restaurant. |

It was a beautifully decorated and new hotel, small but friendly It is not in a place suitable for elderly people or people who have walking difficulties, no grip in the bath when you show and very slippery as the water is so soft. I nearly fell. And prices for dinner to expensive for the average traveller |

Very spacious rooms, very comfortable, very good atmosphere, privacy, looks really good. The one thing that was very much overrated was breakfast: they charge 20 pounds for two persons whilst what you get is not that special and you can only eat so much..... Moreover, the breakfastroom is not that special (and you cannot sit outside) I would recommend others to book a room without breakfast and then have a nice breakfast somewhere else in Cuenca. |

The attention in reception was excellent when we asked for recommendations of some restaurants or places for a drink and food. The view of the room was also fantastic. |

The hotel is well located in the old part of town and convenient for good restaurants. Located in a narrow street stoppig to load or unload luggage can be tricky. |

The Location of the hotel and the nice view of our room. At midnight the centrally controlled room heating went off automatically, and untill it started again at 06:00, we felt the room was not warm enough for the cold winter night. |
