The staff is friendly and helpfull. Their English is okay and the reception is manned 24/7. The hotel is needs a refresh. The interior is outdated. The walls and tiles have been repainted and that is very obvious. |

It was central to the city, near enough to the railway station and nice restaurants. No buses from the airport at night time. |

Couldn't fault the Ultonia. Reception staff exceedingly helpful; room was spotless, spacious, and nicely decorated and furnished. If you want a modern boutique hotel this is not for you but for us it was perfect. |

Excellent location. Close to old town, cathedral, railway station and lots of restaurants. Air con and fridge in room, including reasonably priced mini-bar. Lack of tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer in room. |

The hotel is situated near city-center (3 mins walk) and the train/bus station is not too far either (10min walk). Air-conditioning, staff, pc/internet availability was nice to have. The city is great base for day-trips (Barcelona, Figueres, Tossa de Mar, Cadaques, L'Escala) The walls are really paper-thin. There were some room-renovations on our floor (this did not really matter as the work was done at times we were in the city, though the floor hall was messed up). The toilet water was running all the time, which was a bit annoying. PS:don't leave anything on the wastebasket unless you really _do_ want it thrown out |

Central - convenient for bus/train/airport link close to the river / Medieval part of city, restaurants, tourist information room was clean, spacious, comfortable, cool, had a wee balcony, reasonable value for money - not budget accom, but price ok (we took room only/no breakfast after reading other reviews.) hotel looked after luggage for several hours after we checked out which was convenient Ensuite was needing upgraded / refurbished, not up to standard of the rest of room. Room was on top floor - great outlook, lift was working - some reviews said lift had been out of order which would have been terrible!! |

The Ultonia is situated in the city centre, just a short stroll from the cathedral, museums, restaurants, bars and shops, and has a secure parking facility near by. We had a pleasant and efficient welcome from the staff who were very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and surrounding area. Although on a busy road, it was quiet and calm, the rooms are well-furnished, comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast. |

Big room, three medium comfortable and very spacoius beds (a bit hard though, but no problem really) clean, quiet. Anice rest after a hectic week in Barcelona, before continuing aur journey with Ryanair the next morning. An easy ten minute walk from the hotel to the bus station in the early morning meant a total cost of 4. Please put a hair dryer in the bathroom, and a water boiler in the room! These were things that would have made the stay complete. |

Central location - friendly staff - read previously about the paper thin walls - certainly not on the 7th floor - and the hotel was full - so either very quiet guests or previous posts exagerated - would highly recommend for location, price and service. |
