The hotel staff was helpfull and they were giving me good advises(about the bono bus). They let us in earlier (at 9 am) and also in the last day we were able to let our bags in the hotel until 9 pm. There was a strange smell in the room in the first day, but we let the window open for 1 h and it disappeared. There is a 15-20 min walk until the city center, but the sourroundings are very beautiful and there is also the bus if you don't like walking. |

Superb location for a visit to the Alhambra and Granada. No problems parking as staff did this. Good breakfasts. The buffet Dinner [tried one night] was excellent and good value. Take your travel kettle if you want hot drinks in your room. Would use again. Book Alhambra ticket online in advance. Nasrid palace entry time is obvious but watch out for the morning or afternoon ticket end time for entry to Alcazaba & Genaralife or you won't be allowed in them. |

Hotel Alixares exceeded our expectations. Just a short 5 minute walk to the Alhambra. Bus 30 or 32 can be taken from in front of the Alhambra down into town. We did the Gypsy Flamenco show in Sacremonte and enjoyed it. The bar tender at the hotel was excellent and we ate several meals of Tapas at the bar. We did not use the restaurant. The Hotel staff was very helpful in making recommendations of where to go and how to get there. Our room had 3 twin beds, a nice bathroom with tub and shower and was on the 5th floor with a outdoor porch overlooking the city. This was by far the nicest as well as least expensive hotel in our trip to Spain including Madrid, Seviila, and Granada. I will stay there again and highly recommend it. The Gypsy Flamenco show was supposed to include a tour of the city, but ours was cut short. This had nothing to do with the hotel itself, but just be forewarned that the brochure for the show is a bit misleading. |

phantastic view over Granada; walking distance to the famous Alhambra and regular busservice to city centre (15min). Very nice room. We would choose the Alixares again any time! |

Good location. It's near the Alhambra. The hotel's staff was kind. We arrived at the hotel in the morning. Even though it was definitely earlier than check-in, a receptionist let us check in just after a short wait. Swimming pool was small and far from being comfortable. |

Excellent location, opposite and giving ready access to the Alhambra Palace. Good value for money There was a fire in the hotel 6/11/09 at breakfast time, staff did not seem to have had any training in how to deal with it, allowing guests to return to rooms and use lifts. A potential disaster. |

The proximity of the hotel to La Alhambra was great - right across the street. Also, the hotel had family rooms - we were a large party and rented two rooms - one for 3 people and one for 4 people. The rooms were very spacious. There was a good selection on the breakfast and lunch buffets. The hotel was great on the first night but extremely noisy the second night. |

very convenient location to vist Alhambra. Breakfast was good and sufficient in variety of foods. we stayed family room for member of 4 and found window does not face out side the hotel. View from was not enojyable aithough it is at hill and near to Alhambra. Can hear the noise from the next room so much and it is anoying when people next door wakes up very early by jet-lag. Location of the hotel is far from center of the town and need to take bus twice back and force. |

excellent hotel to stay in to visit alhambra ,about 230 yards to entrance , down hill to alhambra and up to hotel. staff very good, minibus to and from the centre of granada city 1.20 euro per person each way. buffet breakfast good but we had the buffet dinner at 9.00 pm and the hot food was at best warm. but a good value for money stay. would use this hotel again if i ever returned to visit alhambra. at 9.00 pm the buffet hot food was at best warm. |

proximity to Alhambra We were quoted 8euro for breakfast on booking form but were charged 14.50 each. I pointed this out to receptionist but was told this is price for breakfast. Did not have time to argue as we had taxi waiting. Breakfast was quite good but unhappy aout wrong quote/wrong charge. |

great location next to the alhambra, staff spoke english well, super strong shower in bathroom beds slid apart too easily--making it difficult to use for a king-size bed, hairdryer in bathroom was anemic, walls are pretty thin but we sleep soundly so it wasn't an issue for us. |

This smart and elegant hotel is located next to the congress palace, just a short walk from Granada's old quarter. It boasts traditional-style, luxurious gardens, where you can relax in the afternoon. |
Come and enjoy the Moorish splendour of the Alhambra – one of Europe’s most remarkable buildings – from this hotel, set right outside the ancient walls of the palace itself. |
Situated in the centre of Granada, this establishment is housed in a large building of natural stone construction. |
With beautiful views of the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada, this modern 4-star hotel with outdoor pool is near the historical and commercial centre of Granada. |
